I had an overdrive and eprp plan I was given a choice when I signed up the overdrive one plan was 5gb 3G data the other was the same 5gb and unl 4g data 2 diff plans 2 diff codes in the system..SAME PRICE... If i was a betting man thats whats gonna happen with the evo they're gonna introduce new everything plans including 4g data.. For the same price only diff is it will be unl data on 4g

Last time I posted some info some people thanked me and then others said I must be lying and they doubted me. What is the point of a forum to discuss if everyone says you are wrong. I work at Sprint and this is what happened today and what we learned about the EVO in the training nothing more. I don't know the price or the exact release date. The EVO reps are the ones that told me June 6th last week. If you don't want to believe me I can stop posting here.

don't take it personally.

thanks, if that's the case, i'm sure Sprint:
Sprint | Everything Plus(SM) Referral Program

Will be updating their plan listing soon

what makes no sense to you? I just am telling you we started a training today. I was told it would start on the17th but it started today. What else is not making sense to you.

Makes sense to me. Apple's WWDC coming up soon, and Sprint wants to stay light on their feet, this is big stuff.

"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" :p

Quick off topic question...

I see everyone throwing around SERO and other terms about special plans...

I get a 23% discount on my monthly bill for working where i work...does that have a term to it or is that just "employee prices for a certain company?"

also, will i have any issues buying the phone from best buy because of this?

thanks and sorry its an off topic question

now, don't take me 100% on this. i was only told this by my friend @ the mobile department of BestBuy. I hope his district manager knows what's he talking abut. you know, some managers are bogus and i have no clue how they got the position

LOL...Don't worry. I love going into Best Buy to browse anyway and it's on my way home from work. If they don't have the pre-order on Thursday, I won't go onto the forums biting your head off or calling you a liar. That's not my style and I don't think it does any good for anybody to do that type of crap!

Either way, I appreciate the info. If I get to pre-order Thursday, fantastic. If I have to wait, so be it (no big deal).

yeah June 6 makes perfect sense. i can hear Sprint now -

"let's wait until June 6 to launch. one day before Apple WWDC. this way we can get one whole day of hype before Apple sucks all of the oxygen out of the universe and our marketing efforts. perfect. brilliant!"

If you do a family plan it comes out cheaper then having 2 Sero plans if you can get the discount and also I believe the Sero plans don't include GPS and the Any Mobile Any time plan.

That is the from the EVP(Employee Value Program) will have no effect on your ordering from anywhere

I probably won't last much longer as well..

Speculation is one thing, but when someone post something as fact, they need to be able to back it up..

There is a lot of B.S. info posted here and to much leeway given to those that post it..

Either you are speculating
or you have factual information with proof and can back it up..

When I post facts I say it is fact and I am willing and can back it up that info..

When I speculate I speculate because I can't back it up with info or don't want to back it up and get my sources in trouble..

You can't have it both ways.,.

can i just buy the phone and leave and activate it at home? or do i need to tolerate dealing with a retail employee longer?

yes all information here is caveat emptor. but no more repetitive witch hunts please.

Granted Eieio, but I think what she is going for is:

"I work for Sprint, this is what we are doing, and this is what I was told by people that are working with the Evo now"

Could it be wrong? Of course... But it's the closest reliable information we have at the moment. So yeah, take everything with a grain of salt.

On that note, I pretty much stalk both you and rebella's post, as both provide some of the best info. I hope both of you continue you post as info is provided.

nope you cannot sign up for EPRP @ bestbuy. however you can call in to sprint and ask to swap ur Sero to EPRP. they may ask for the employee email and code to verify you were a referral. this shouldn't be a problem. but it can't be done @ retail stores

I duno, but this is a norcal store
Where in norcal? Emeryville? Hmm, maybe I should stop by tomorrow and see if they say anything.:p

Once converted, check your online account to make sure it's the right one. then check if your upgrade eligibility is available. Go to bestbuy and preorder. they will automatically use the upgrade eligibility on your account to credit you and give you the credit for the MIR

Yup, I'm eligible. The only thing is that I can't switch plans through that site without picking up a phone, and obviously the EVO isn't listed there.

So, going off of a very helpful PM sent my way, I'm going to hop onto Sprint chat and ask them what they'll do for me to convert to an EPRP plan and specify that I don't want a new phone yet.

Regardless, I get that I have to have the plan before hitting up BB. Thanks for the info!

People, let's all take a big old swig of calm down juice and relax.

Eieio - i appreciate your determination to vet all things EVO, you seem to be in the know on plenty so far, but unless you work for Sprint and can directly debunk when something incorrect is said, I would ask you to relax.

Rebella - I don't know if you work for Sprint, I don't care. From what I have seen you have put forth information in good faith and just about all of us appreciate it. I can't remember anything you have guaranteed or promised on anything. Thank you for continuing to report what you know.

The good news for all of us is the phone will get here eventually. I can say for myself, if it ain't by the 6th of June, I guess my sorry butt is staying with Verizon, because I'm ready for the Incredible if the EVO continues to be a pipe dream for much longer. :)

Seriously though, we're only a few weeks away from something, so let's all just keep the ball rolling and relaaaaaaaaax!

eieio Your input here has been greatly appreciated but there is no reason fo your attack on Rebella. she is giving us the info she is getting during her training. I believe she is being honest with us. Might some of it turn out wrong possibly, Sprint may be telling their employees June 6 because that is what is all over the net. If they move it up they're heros.

changing plan does not require you to purchase phones. just make sure to mention to the rep that you are still deciding and want the eligible upgrade available when ur ready to upgrade to a new phone
