2.1 OTA Beginning 5/11/2010

I am pretty sure that it started going out OTA on Thursday, January 7. I know that I received it overnight either Friday night/Saturday morning, or Saturday night/Sunday morning, January 9 or 10. (I know it was over that weekend, and I am pretty sure that it was the 9th.)

Never had the patience to do that, but I suspect my results would be similar.

The number of bars has never seemed to make sense to me with both leaks V2 and V3.

I am currently at -70 with 2 bars....oops make that -77 with 2 bars, no back to -70 and still 2 bars.... you get the drift.

Dont think its the fact of first to get it,but more of the fact of the OS to run smooth and seeing what changes have really been made.As i sit here eating my honey glazed ham steak,eggs and drinking my chocolate truffle coffee,i ponder if the offical version is going to be better then the leaked version that is out already.It cant be anyworse:)

I definitely received the MR2 update on Jan 11th. I remember it perfectly. I was on a business trip, woke up in the hotel Monday morning, didn't have the update. Got ready, went down to the lobby to get some breakfast and the update showed up before I walked out the door.
 
Tucson, Arizona, received update at 11:00 p.m. last night. All is good except the new weather app is not working.......click on widget on homepage, takes you to weather, a notice comes and goes before you can read it then a black screen appears......anyone else have this issue?

I would like an answer to this too. I am traveling to Ireland tonight and have to deactivate my Eris to activate the loaner global phone they sent me! I hope I can still get it when I reactivate in 8 days. I've waited months for this and now it's rolling out at the WORST possible time for me! Daft.

Yes, but were you on 1.5 or a leaked/rooted 2.1?

its not that we want it now because we want everything delivered now, but more that we want it now because then its a new toy to play with.

what's the difference between a techie and a nontechie? a nontechie sees a phone. a techie sees a toy for grownups. and i wanna mess with the new toy!

Though Verizon claims its random, I wonder that as well. I bought mine three days after it came out and for both patches and 2.1, I got almost immediately.

i believe it is radom since you have said that.my nephew bought his 3weeks ago and got the update lastnight around midnight

Over in Dublin here, and still nothing. I think I'm going to stop looking for patterns and just beleive 100% that there's an office full of verizon reps with all their cubicle walls covered in phone numbers randomly throwing the previously shown home made darts. That just makes more sense now.

i am extremely lagging in recieving and making calls version 3 i actually miss calls when trying to swipe down to answer because its so slow then when i push talk i seriously have to wait easily 5 seconds before call starts
