I assumed per plan since they have most of their add ons seem to have to moved to this. Like Texting for family plans became an add on for all phones. This is my question too!

I know you are drinking and on vacation so I will give you the benefit of the doubt...still, if you read the press release, it clearly states that for the Evo, 4G is a $10 addon and hotspot is a separate $30 addon.
My bill that went up with the new plan I had to buy for my Pre is going to go up again for the Evo. Yes it is still cheaper than the competition and I will probably swallow my pride and get it anyway.
I am just disappointed that they are charging for something that makes data delivery cheaper for them and that the CEO flat-out said would not cost any more than 3G data plans do now. It's a bad business move and yet another $10 added to my monthly expenses.
Uh, what phone are you using?
At the moment, I'm using the iphone 3G with unlimited text. That's $40 for voice, $30 for data, and $20 for text = $90. Even with the $10 4G add-on, sprint's plan is cheaper by $10.

What wrong with donuts![]()
.Why. None of the 3 people you mentioned said June 5th. They all has different dates.
$10/month is still a bargain IMO.
its a bargain, sure, if you live in a 4g area, otherwise you're screwed with an extra fee for a feature you cant use
I think it will be very bad to charge an extra $10 a month to use 4g.
Someone needs to get to the bottom of what that statment actually means.

IMO it's an add on. that means optional. they will not charge for 4G in a non-4G area.

I agree, especially when Dan said 4g was cheaper and more cost efficient to maintain then 3g...or something to that affect?
So June 4th from Sprint.
How about early releases via Best Buy / Radioshack? Are those still going to be released before the 4th?
.
Because even if they were off a little bit, they didn't deserve to be flambasted by people who had different dates or no info at all... AGAIN....JMHO
the way that it read seemed to me and apparently a lot of others here like it wasnt. it seemed like only the hotspot feature was optional. i'll not convinced but it did seem like that was the case. hopefully we'll get official clarification soon

Dan Hesse you greedy ****. had to try to milk me for that extra $10/mo. I was going to buy two but now I might not. We should all send message to Sprint that they are sticking it to us!!!

well i guess it depends on the minutes we get
i pay 160 for two lines sharing 1400 minutes with unlimited data and text so i just did quick division and figured i'd be paying the same at sprint. i'm okay with that, i'll love my evo but i'm not saving any money
