ok this is getting ridiculous .

-if it sits overnight it loses 50% of its battery
-if i charge it all night, its at 15% battery by 6pm
-runs ~86 F all the time
-running p3 kernel 800
-this is with wfi on at my house . does wifi use that much battery?
-this is with almost no phone calls
- ~20 texts
- and max 10 individual webpages that i view
-no setcpu profiles besides standby = 400/250

wow

I'm running the 1.2GHz LV kernel and I'm constantly texting, checking email, surfing, and what not. My battery is usually around 60% by 5pm after being off the charger since 7am. At noon it was still 90%.

WIFI uses a lot of battery.

For those using P3Droid kernels.. loaded up the 1.2Ghz LV kernel about an hour ago.. temps are pretty consistent and I have roughly 80MB in memory available..

Will keep you updated to see how things progress..

I just wanted to put my two cents in and tell you that this ROM is the best I've used so far. I didn't think it was possible, but you have improved on BB. Thanx for all your hard work.

Just some minor things, like the background when a shortcut on the home screen is pressed.

I noticed that the OP says that the helix launcher is themed. But I'm not seeing what's themed about it?

Unfortunately, it does not. That feature is solely available for CyanogenMod based ROMs.

Yes. Hopefully, there are no further changes to the framework, so it should be an easy port.
Would it be a simple update from SD card and no requirement to reinstall everything such as settings?

Fab great job with NexBeast. Flashed it last night and it's been running great!

Only bug (or maybe its supposed to be this way?) I noticed is that when i try and turn my phone off, it just reboots the phone. Not a big deal since I never really turn it off.

Fab, just wanted to echo this. First, great job on the theme and for your time and effort in answering everyone's questions.:)

Second, is this a bug or intentional that I cannot shut the phone off? Am I doing something wrong? I don't do it often but sometimes I used shut the phone off for the night but now I need to do a battery pull.

Again, not complaining, just wondering.

what do you have for your default notification tone?? and where is it stored?

if on the SDcard, try one on the phone (not card) and see if it works

so to add a new kernel i just change the .zip to update.zip and then do everything else the same (besides a wipe) i did before to update my rom etc.? Im using SPR

Heyy I'm lovin this ROM but there's a slight issue I encountered today. I overclocked it last night with the 1.3GHZ LV kernel and it was working fine until mid today when the phone froze and I had to pull out the battery, upon restarting the phone it would either constantly restart or go to the home screen so I had to recover it with clockwork and then when I attempted to reinstall the kernel and rebooted it it did the same thing.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

More then likely your phone can't handle the speed of the kernel on that voltage... Every Droid is different about this, I would try a MV 1.3 and see if that helps. If not try SV 1.3, if neither work I would go down to a 1.1 or 1.2 LV and see if that will work better... Kernels are a trial and error kind of thing...

Yeah i would think that you got too much kernal as well. cut it back to the next kernal just lower than the one you have, an i bet that might just do it.

I've been running very stable using the 1 Ghz kernal for a couple of days until today when I saw two (that I noticed) spontaneous reboots. I think I'll drop down to the 800 Mhz kernal and see how that does. I update.zipped over DM 1.0 after wiping everything three times. I'm wondering if I should have flashed to 2.1 rooted with ROM Manager before flashing NexBeast.

that's how i did mine, but then i installed the clockworkmod because it was in the instructions with installing the kernel
