I think my post got sorta lost and skipped over earlier, but this is still driving me crazy:

"When running one of the overclocked kernals, is it necessary for SetCPU to constantly run?

I've noticed that virtually no running apps stay in the list on Advanced Task Killer, even when I know they are indeed running (like Clock, Messaging, Gmail, SetCPU, etc). What's up with that?"
 
I love this ROM,but I tried overclocking it how it said on the video with the 1.3ghz and all it did was show the Motorola icon for like 20 minutes. any help?

Decided to start over and flash 2.1 rooted with ROM Manager, wiped everything, and formatted sd card before flashing NexBeast. Seems to be running great so far today.
 
Thanks for all the congratulations everyone! I'm officially finished with college...now, to find a job, haha.

I'm probably going to start working on some updates for this ROM tomorrow, that is if I survive tonight :D
 
I'm having problems with my MMS video. I receive them on the droid's native sms application, but it doesn't play. Can someone help me with this?

excellent rom Fab and congratulations on the EE major, i dont think you will have any trouble finding a job! what will you be doing with your EE major? If you ever need any o-scope probes let me know ;)

btw, running nexbeast with helix 2, 1ghz LV with setCPU and brightness hack. avg 75 degrees when idle and 85 when doing browsing online. Getting excellent battery life too, bluetooth is always on, wifi off, sync on, brightness auto except for certain instances at night when going below factory setting minimum, i'm at about 50% battery with moderate use after 16 hours.

Thank you for this excellent little bundle, it really shows how much attention to detail and effort you put into this rom. cheers!

I do have a request for v1.1...an option for the round battery on the tray. It's much easier to gauge battery life and the icon is neat looking.

Again, thank you for the excellent rom and if there's any way i can help or if you need a guinea pig let me know.
 
one thing ive noticed revisiting nexbeast and now a few other roms in the last 24 hours.

it seems, when it comes to bb and bb themed roms. DONT install setcpu.

i swear, with setcpu my cpu and battery would get so friggin hot. but with it uninstalled it runs so much cooler. i think theres a conflict with the way oc roms are setup (at least bekit anyway) and how setcpu wants to manage things that works over the cpu a little bit.

just adding my feedback =p. great rom fab =D
 
Thanks to everyone for the ADW launcher recommendation. Testing it out now and it seems very promising. Fast app scrolling! Don't know how much I love the pull-up row of apps just yet but we'll see.

I changed mine recently, but think the one you included is much nicer and would like to set it back.

Got this working. Its exactly what I was looking for in a ROM. Before this only UD had it and now I can switch off that to this. Running 1.2ghz overclocked woot <3.

In the first post of this thread, Fab lists a link to other wallpapers which includes the floorboard background. I use it and when I applied it, I expanded the picture to its max. You get narrower boards that way.
 
so i'm assuming the camera bug at 40% battery life has not been fixed? can't believe i haven't seen anyone else post about this problem.
 
So right now I am rooted with the ota 2.1-update1 ESE81 build. I currently have SPRecovery installed with nandroid backups of my pre-rooted and current state.

So let me get this straight, this is an update.zip install that I would run via SPRecovery in my case, and if I wanted to go back to one of my current backups it would just be a matter of doing an advanced restore in SPRecovery?
