Incredible owners bash EVO

I read the first page and it was pretty tame. I agree with most of them though, the Evo wasnt just announced...if they want one they shouldn't have settled.

I didnt see much hating of the EVO at all. Sounds like they were just expressing what they like about the phone/network they have. We will be doing the same thing when the EVO comes out

seems pretty stable...but i wasnt buying the complaints about the screen being too big...lol...i dont think any self respecting southerner uses instant grits!

I will say that, in real-world testing, the Evo is getting about 2-3mbps for me. That's barely even faster than my friend's Droid gets on 3G ANYWHERE Verizon has a signal. 4G on the Evo isn't quite so spread out on the coverage map as a Verizon 3G signal...

But, in Sprint's defense, I have a rock-solid 3G signal all of the time, and almost get what the Droid gets usually.

It's jealousy. They are trying to justify their incredible purchase.

Plus, I'm so sick of Sprint bashing. The network is second to Verizon. That thread is full of people who have been brainwashed into paying way too much for pretty much the same service.

Random, but I love it! Lol

If I wanted the incredible I'd be in their forum or talking about it... Ah, crap! Why even give them any notice?

I read a lot of posts saying basically conceding that EVO had more features but they were happy with the Incredible. Not exactly bashing.

Take two steps back. It's a phone. It's not religion.

In 6 months, when the next greatest thing gets announced, we'll be green with envy. Welcome to technology, where tomorrow's latest toy became obsolete yesterday.

The only thing I like about the Incredible more than the EVO is the AMOLED vs TFT LCD for screens. =/

Personally, I have never really had any problems with the Sprint network as far as service goes so for them complaining about networks, I personally don't see it.

The funny thing is...our Sprint phones roam on Verizon's network when Sprint doesn't get signal for no extra charge...do they not realize this? We get the best of both worlds

That's true, but from what I understand, when Sprint phones roam onto VZW's network, they're only able to utilize the 1X signal, and not the 3G signal, which is incredibly slow.

I'm pretty sure I've roamed with 3G before.

Interesting....does anyone else have any input on this? I currently have a Droid on VZW, and although I REALLY want to switch to Sprint for the EVO, I'm a little wary since I have no idea how Sprint's signal is here on Long Island. If I knew that Sprint got 3G everywhere VZW did, it would make my decision an easy one.

Sprint - Nationwide Coverage

I'm willing to bet Long Island is completely covered in 3G.

Edit: It definitely has full 3G coverage.

I went and played with the incredible the other day. It felt super cheap/chintzy. If the Evo feels anything like that thing I want 0 to do with it. Hopefully (I'm assuming) the Evo will be a much better build quality phone

I've played with the Incredible and didn't get that impression at all.
