Does this make you Second Guess Getting an EVO?

"Apparently HTC issued a statement saying that 2.2 will be available for the Incredible and Desire, and although the phones yet to be released such as the Evo 4G, will initially run 2.1, they will also be able to be upgraded."

Read that. It's not getting 2.2 but will be have to be upgraded.

You are like a year late. We knew that already. The Evo won't be shipped with Froyo but it will be upgradeable.

Oh my bad.

Well now that we are in the same boat, we must unite to get our update.

Together we are 1 - we will get our update if we work together.

It's a bunch of bull unfortunately. There is nothing we can do to get Froyo faster outside of root > flash custom rom. I truly don't expect to see Sprint's official update coming until maybe September at the earliest.

also i'm not sure if you saw the wimax signal repeater thing that radioshack is rumored to be installing in some of its stores, but if you have, are these the types of things you were talking about in reference to wimax being implemented all over cities, buses, buildings etc.? grassy ass in advance

In most cases, you can get a outside repeater and then transfer the signal inside of your home/business/cave.

Total cost for most people, will be between 30-100 dollars(free if you get the clear/comcast/time warner). It will just reflect the signal to cover the house.

There is no wimax vs lte, it is wimax and lte. Please read the wimax thread.

I am currently playing with a 100% completely solar powered 5 watt wimax repeater. It's range is 2 miles. And it has the ability to change frequency angles to penetrate buildings better. (cost will be about 40bucks.)
