Does this make you Second Guess Getting an EVO?

Well heck if you are going to not buy a phone because the new os is coming out in the next few months, then heck do not get the froyo. Get gingerbread! It will be out in the 4th quarter and is going to be the greatest ever!

I am sorry but if you want to run around chasing what is always going to be 2 months away, then do.

Mean while I will enjoy my evo. 2.1 is good enough for me.

I guess... The really big upside to the EVO i guess is that it wont gett BOGGED down after a month like my Hero did .... Having that Snapdragon and all... and I wouldnt mind riding the Wimax wave until LTE goes live

From what I've read.. LTE is just a software upgrade form existing WiMAX hardware (thats from Clear) and if sprint decides to move to LTE and dump WiMAX it'll be a quick upgrade and nothing on our side.

That's a huge shock. I wonder why the Evo isn't getting 2.2 anymore?

HTC Droid Incredible & Evo 4G will get Android OS 2.2 upgrade

no iphoneHD till 2011? thats pretty shocking itself. that basically would hand the market to android. who knows whether thats true. was sort of looking forward to the new iphone just to see if they'd raise the stakes. if its not till 2011 then heck EVO2 will probably be out and be even more of a monster.

well from what an extremely knowledgable source (riverofice) says, lte and wimax will be buddies one day and work together, and neither one is competing with the other (paraphrasing)...riverofice if you're reading this, i would like to know if like wimax, lte will also hav bugs, spotty areas etc. when it becomes operational for mobile devices, which i understand to be in 2011....if so, would it be logical to assume that by the time that happens, wimax, because of it's early jump will be even more fine tuned and working even better, while lte will be experiencing the minor hiccups and such that wimax may go thru in these early stages?

also i'm not sure if you saw the wimax signal repeater thing that radioshack is rumored to be installing in some of its stores, but if you have, are these the types of things you were talking about in reference to wimax being implemented all over cities, buses, buildings etc.? grassy ass in advance
