Yes, but Samsung watches are not Wear OS watches. They run Tizen, which is not as well supported. Best looking Wear OS smartwatch? It's expensive, but IMO worth it: the Montblanc Summit 2. Timeless, elegant design, incredible features, useful controls. It does everything I need it to: it syncs with all my apps and is a literal extension of my phone without compromise. Best watch I've ever owned.
Those Montblanc are sweet. But for my money, you cannot go wrong with Fossil. Best mix of real watch design, form, functionality, and price.
I need and want WearOs to mature, A LOT, but I love the platform.
Yep, I don't need Wear OS to be flashy... I want it to be functional. It is, and the new tabs work well (though there should be many more options). The OS is only as good as the hardware running it, though: while the Snapdragon 3100 is a huge step up from its 2100 predecessor, it's still slow and clunky. Its 28nm process is horribly inefficient. I keep hearing rumors about a Snapdragon 3300 on the horizon that's based on a 10nm process and more streamlined for what Wear OS has evolved into. I'm hopeful that the Summit 3, along with some of the other "designer" brands like Fossil, will use the new chip in the next wave of smartwatches. Crossing fingers it's the end of this year!
I heard the new Fossils with 1gb RAM makes a HUGE improvement. But yea, while the 3100 was about battery life (which it needed) we need real performance improvements if we even want to me *mentioned* in convo's about Apple Watch
I want to love my Fossil, but the crown button needs to not be a button (turning is ok) or have a way to disable the button. I "restart" my watch multiple times a week by accidentally long pressing the button by bending my wrist.

I've not had that problem with my Fossil Sport (yet) but my LG Watch Sport definitely kept summoning the Assistant whenever I did push-ups.

Thankfully (?) I only trigger the Assistant at least once a day. And Assistant on Wear is ATROCIOUS. Codesplice can attest. The google forum is awash with users complaining about this, lol

TicWatch Pro is currently the best WearOS powered watch. But as you may already know, old SoC and WearOS is not a happy couple when it comes to battery.
If I'm about to buy a smartwatch today, the Huawei GT 2 should be the best choice. Of course WearOS brings you more features but unfortunately the battery is too weak to make all those features useful.

Huawei Watch GT2 hardware seems pretty solid but I'd be pretty hesitant about leaving Wear OS (broken and deficient though it may be) for Huawei's software environment. At least Wear OS has fairly broad support from third-party app developers.
Exactly, and it (i hope) will just continue to improve. Especially with finally better hardware configurations, and *maybe* a true CPU upgrade.
