***The Official Coronavirus 'Work From Home' Thread***

7 straight days of working from "home" (work) 94 hours in those 7 days after today and it has been hell. I work in plastic manufacturing for hygiene products including diaper material and medical barrier materials. We are to put it bluntly balls to the wall. Can't make enough product. Had some large hiccups this week including parts of machines being destroyed and an area of the facility flooding due to a water hose to a machine rupturing. Fun times.

Add to that we have been running shorthanded the past 3 days because of our product mix on the 5 lines and I am exhausted. Ready for the next 2 days off.

if you are making medical supplies that are needed on the front line , then i really appreciate the hard work you are doing. just keep in mind that you are saving lives. keep up the great work and stay safe:thumbsupdroid::maskeddroid::thumbsupdroid:

Yes, we make material that is used in medical gowns. It is a stressful time but I appreciate still being fully employed and almost as much overtime as I want. We have a large run of the medical gown material coming up next week, larger than normal for our customer. 10-12 days. Our orders for it before this pandemic were only 2-4 day runs.

Buy plenty of soup. It's good for the soul. Especially Chicken Noodle.
It's easy to think while eating chicken noodle soup.

I hope you are not kidding about the chicken soup and noodles. This is serious business. If you are making fun I MAY HAVE TO HURT YOU!

well i just spent pretty much all day friday and monday draining and tearing down tanks......those are not easy jobs as these tanks are well over 150 gallons!!!!! luckily we are not losing them as a client. we are just babysitting their fish at the office until this pandemic has run its course. we have tons of holding tanks for such occasions (well not for pandemics, but for those who need us to watch over their fish). it is a day later and i'm still pooped out from doing those jobs. hopefully this the last of it. i really wish i could work from home.

why can't these damn fish clean themselves!!!!

I'm truly glad you can keep things going. Congrats.

My teaching has picked since Corona. I'm getting more students via the interwebs. The information super highway, so to speak. Go figure.. My heart goes out to those who've lost work and/or jobs. Blessings to you all.

Wow, I am new here, and haven't done the intro yet, but I was just excited to find an "active" thread! I found the forum, because I was looking for an answer to my Android issue issue (never did find it lol) but, when going to the home page, just about everything I looked at was from years ago, so at first I thought this was an older board, until I checked the main "thread" page and saw Corona
I am a medically "retired" disabled nurse and worked at home for many years after breaking my back in an accident 20 years ago , I'm home most of the time anyway, so this really isn't having any ill effect on me at all, I have done grocery "pickup" for over a year now, because of my disabilities, and usually go to any stores I have to, on or after the 3rd of every month. Financial situation hasn't changed at all. The only thing I have been doing more of, is reading the "news" more, reading online (the COVID updates), but am at the point of being sick of hearing about it, like I am sure many are! I hope everyone here is well and safe!

Welcome, Diana. Glad you're here. Glad you're safe. This forum was THE hotspot years ago. It took a dip but it's coming back. What phone do you have?

To DM staff, create a post in Private Chat With Staff. Also, sometimes on an update you have to clear cache. I may be wrong but perhaps we can get you the help you need.

well i now have just under 40% of my clients left. i usually work 8am to 5 or 6pm. today i had 2 accounts in the morning with some light paperwork at the office. i was done by 2pm. i'm not used to being home this early.

and now it is official that by this friday, all Angelinos must wear a mask when out shopping or if you are working....the thing is i just ran out of masks and will be weeks before the ones i ordered will be delivered. i am currently looking online on dyi mask. the thing is i'm not really good with crafts, nor can i sew.

Hang in there.

thanx. yeah it is also affecting our work force. some of the guys had only a few accounts tp begin with, but now that they lost 50% of their accounts, they decided that it is not worth the risk to only service a few accounts a week. so it is now up to the few of us to pick up the slack, which is still not adding up to a full days work normally.

my boss right now is so appreciated of me coming in and working, that i got a raise!!!!!

shhhhhh do not tell anybody;):cashdroid:;):cashdroid:
