Class Action Suit for 2.0

I too feel betrayed by Samsung. I should have learned from my last experience with the Samsung Instinct on sprint. They touted the Instinct as an iphone killer! Now this time they have a phone with great hardware, but are not upgrading the phone to 2.0 as advertised on their promo videos. I just ordered an HTC HD2. I added a line for my daughter, so I got a real nice discount. I will pass down my Behold 2 to her. While the HD2 is a Windows phone. There are people that are running ANDROID 2.1 on them!! I want to thank BH_MAN and all of the others for all of the GREAT ROMs.I have learned alot about Android. I was always quiet (2 posts) but checked the forums daily. BH_MAN should get a job With Samsung!! I will still watch the forums, since my wife and now daughter still have a Behold 2. Thanks Again!!

NowVoyager Note: I am unwilling to PURCHASE a Galaxy S at any price. I am only willing to accept a Galaxy S at no further cost to myself in replacement of or as restitution for the malfunctioning Behold II that we have ALREADY purchased. Reason being that my Behold II was purchased in good faith, believing the hype about the greatness of this phone and the promise to update to 2.x when it was released. The Behold II has repeatedly failed to perform up to specs on a consistent basis and we are lately informed that it will not receive the 2.x update as promised. We feel shafted as we watch Samsung's quest to launch yet another phone while ignoring the scathing issues of the Behold II. Unless I am fully compensated for the Behold II, I can have no further dealings with Samsung Mobile USA. Tmobile bears some responsibility to Behold II owners as well.
 
Is this just for those who would take a Galaxy S, or for all those who are pissed about the lack of updates to the Behold 2? The latter is a much larger and more motivated group, and therefore might have more impact. However, getting a Galaxy S is a smaller and much more 'win-able' battle, so perhaps that's a better focus. I am both angry and easily bribed, so either way, I'm on the list. Thanks for organizing the effort!

You guys can just copy the list and add your name :-) Just copy the list, paste into a reply, add a number and your name :-) I think we're gonna have a pretty good sized list, so when I call, I'll see what they would have to say. If you are pissed about it, please add your name as the more people we have, the more Samsung will look into it. If I had to guess, if they do anything it's going to be have us mail them our beholds, in exchange for another Samsung phone. (Hopefully the Galaxy S as it is a pretty similar phone). Not quite sure how I'm going to handle it yet (As far as getting the "right" person). Unless BH_MAN's contact who told him about us not getting the update would work with us? Maybe?
 
Also, if your family members or whoever have behold 2's, put a "+2" or however many more phones you know about next to your name. Not everyone will be on this forum.

Well just got an email back from Samsung and it took them 4 days to respond so i doubt it was a bot... heres what it reads

Good luck with the HD2 =/ I had it for a day and loved it the first hour, after getting pass how pretty it looked I thought it just wasn't good. Main reason is that there is no apps! Also when you surf the web you will see nothing but choppy images on every browser you use. But if Android is able to be on it, then it should be a good phone.
 
I'll gladly make one right now, but with that, there is really no way to prove they are actually Behold 2 owners. I'll post up the link to sign in a minute, doing it now.

Well I talked to the manager at the T-Mobile store in my mall today. She checked her computer and told me that all of their phones other than the G1 are supposed to get an upgrade to 2.1 sometime after the Nexus One starts being sold in stores in mid June. I asked if "sometime after" meant a week or a year. She said she had no idea and that she would do more research and see what she can do for me. When I go to talk to her later in the week, I will bring a print out from Bschwartz40's post above.

That's assuming that someone got the phone with a contract. I bought 2 phones for 379 ish each..... that number starts to grow then!
 
Well, In Reality...

$427 for the One I bricked with the Recovery
$427 ish for the Cliq I traded for the Behold 2
$180 ish that androidforums.com Members bought me for the replacement phone...
