i have had them both. and meh, i guess it depends on who makes them.....lolOh, that's probably because--unlike me--you've never lived in the south! There wasn't much I liked about Texas, but I must say I had EXCELLENT pecan pie and sweet potato pie there.
We actually had several pecan trees in our yard...but we let the squirrels feast on them.![]()
I love them all! Boysenberry pie is a favorite of mine, as is blueberry. But apple, cherry, pumpkin, pecan, pretty much any fruit pie will do. I love cake, too, but pie is easier to veganize than cake.I'm a fan of pecan pie as well. I like fruit pies okay but I'm big on sweet potato, pumpkin, and pecan. Actually, I'm a bigger cake fan than a pie fan.
Yeah, I'm convinced that you just haven't had the right ones yet. I could seriously eat a whole pecan pie by myself! [And then not eat another calorie for a week...] Ditto for sweet potato pie.i have had them both. and meh, i guess it depends on who makes them.....lol
Many years go.. likely 40.. we got on a kick of buying frozen blueberry turnovers. They had a sugar glaze package you thawed and drizzled over the turnovers once they were baked. They were oh so good! Just the right amount of crust per filling, crisp, and not too sweet. No idea the brand now and I've purchased a couple of samplings through the years since that were off the mark. I miss those blueberry turnovers.I love them all! Durian pie![]()
NO. Still NO!!!!!
I haven't had it in years, but what about Knott's Berry Farm's boysenberry pie? If my California history serves me, the boysenberry was invented here in SoCal, and the Knott family had some part in it. I always have a jar of their boysenberry preserves in my fridge--it's the closest I've been able to come to their awesome pie in a while!when i was younger, my family spent thanxgiving in Montana where my unlce lived. i remember that they had they best boysenberry pie. it was made fresh where the berries were picked right outside of my uncle's cabin. i have yet to find any berry pie that came close to that.
i have rarely been to Knott's save for their Knott's Scary Farm and even then i never had their pies. i do remember their jams, but thats about it. plus i doubt that it would be better then my uncle's berry pies.I haven't had it in years, but what about Knott's Berry Farm's boysenberry pie?
