QuietBuds

I just read about those in an ad. I have never before seen earbuds with swappable cores, depending on the setting and what kinds of sounds the wearer is trying to block. The ocean kind looks especially good. I wonder if it would be possible to get just that (ocean version) and not have to listen to people talking, tv, etc.. Has anyone on here used them or heard whether they're good, bad, indifferent? I guess about 40 bucks would be all right.

sorry but for the same price you can get the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro which you can adjust noise cancellation levels or even switch it to ambient noise all within the Samsung Wear app. there is no need to keep all of those "cores" and switching them out depending on what your situation is.

its a cool idea, but that is way too much accessories to be carrying around. not to mention pulling and putting those things on according to need seems like a huge waste of time as well as a lot of wear and tear.

for those interested here is the link for the QuietBuds:

edit: well i guess they are having a sale of going from $79.99 to $39.99 which is not bad. still way too much effort for me when all i need to do is go into an app to change my settings.

Does Moto have something similar? Maybe I could use theirs instead. Still, doesn't it have to be connected to a phone? I wanted something that I could use in all situations, maybe lying down, etc..

nothing with true nose cancellation. they have it for when you make calls so that your conversation is crystal clear.

the samsung buds pro are the best noise cancellation ear pieces i have ever used. they best for me are the overear headphones by Bose, if you want complete silence.

The Bose QuietComfort buds do a fantastic job as well. They don't do the job their over the ear QuietComfort 35 model however. I've never tried the Samsung buds so I can't compare. Bose are definitely not in the $40 range.

No, I want just the opposite. I want peace and quiet, no noise at all. I don't want to have to listen to anything, and I don't want to have connect stuff to a phone or other device, especially if I happen to be lying down at the time.

If it's just earplugs you want for keeping things quiet and peaceful, you can buy them from Amazon etc, like $7.99 for 50 pairs. Probably buy them from your local pharmacy as well.

No need to pay $40 for some fancy designer earplugs.

Yeah, but I've tried that kind of stuff and it doesn't really work. It's probably almost easier to block out the sound of a jackhammer than to do that with a human voice, especially a high, screechy one. Has anyone ever fixed that?

I've only ever used them once when I did some rifle and shotgun shooting years ago. And they certainly worked for me, with keeping much of the gunfire out of my ears.

All these things are is just sterilized hardened foam, and they worked for me with firing guns, I'm sure they can work for you, including catching some ZZZZs with the sounds of jackhammers. :)

When I travel on planes, I often use my Sony or Bose noise-cancelling headphones.

You better hope. Maybe the best solution would be to find some deaf pills and swallow a whole bottle of them. They do make those, right?
