Is it the download you get when you first start? Make sure you check the box.

Once passed that make sure you download all the items listed.

I did that and also the Sync program and it works like a charm.
 
I can't get it to work either. I followed the directions exactly, but when I click on the ddms.bat the DOS window flashes for a split second, tells me I don't have any Java installed, and then that's the end of it.

I got the same thing, so thats why I downloaded all the files that came up in that window and also downloaded the Sync Manager. I synced my phone to save my contacts and then closed everything out and tried it again and it worked for me.

I dont really use it, but I like that I have it :cool:
 
I'm on Win7 64-bit, and so it was looking for Java in the C:/Program Files folder instead of C:/Program Files(x86). So I copied all of the Java folder over, and here's the result!

I hate the iPhone bubbles, which is why I use the "Handcent Classic" style, although it is literally just like the iPhone bubbles. If I had the option, I would enjoy a more efficient messaging style (I think the HTC Messaging app is highly efficient), but the options on Handcent are really revolved around the Bubble idea.

I would really enjoy Handcent to have an iChat Boxes messaging style like this:

Oh yes, this would be excellent. I wonder if a custom theme could be made?

I got close with the stock abilities:

Custom Style>bubble settings> conversation style> Android

Incoming background RGB = 194, 200,200

Outgoing background RGB = 186,249,0


It's not totally there, but it's actually more efficient with the screen space than iChat. And the other person's texts pop out more, which I think is more important.

A weird thing, I think the incoming/outgoing tags are reversed in the settings. Shouldn't the outgoing be your texts?

Anybody know how to increase the amount of characters we can see/view per text?

I have one of those friends that sends e-mail size texts and they come in like 6 batches.

I think that's a limit of the network. If they are outside of Verizon and send texts that are larger than 160 characters, they must come in separate texts, ergo the 6 batches. I guess hypothetically, the program could have a feature that merges all texts into one so that it doesn't split it up into separate pieces, but that would have to be done by the Handcent developers

Looks hot - love how you can spread out and choose to use the texture only or add the "Incredible" word with it - givin some options :)
 
Yeah, me too. I realized I could crop it better after I took these. Now the conversation list has the whole word "INCREDIBLE" across the bottom - little better.

Nice, the Black/Gray/Red works well. Also, I see you're a fellow percussionist (or at least DCI/WGI Enthusiast) judging by your WGI conversation. I bet the theme looks great with the INCREDIBLE cropped properly too.
