Through the years, I made close friends in the construction business. We had a lot of laughs together, shared a few meals together, labored hard together to bring a project in under a deadline and to make the builder we were working for look good to his clients. Within a short span of time, we all retired and communication lines were severed. I miss the interactions with those guys. A couple of the group have passed away... maybe more. Unless you happen upon their obit, there isn't any knowing. It's a shame for they were a great bunch of guys. I worked around some of them for forty to fifty years.OB, I was forced to retire in 99. Well, didn't actually retire until 2000 because I had a butt load of sick leave. I came home to raising my 2 girls. What I had trouble getting used to was the absence of adults to talk to.
Now, the girls are gone with kids of their own and it's just me and the Boss Lady.
