All EVO 4G Wallpaper thread

Nice. I love the art on Rockstar games, including the GTA titles.

I've used #6 on my laptop already, awesome background.

Do you play RDR on 360 or PS3?

@Post#119: Thanks! I would have to decide between the 3rd and the last. I'm actually going to learn PS for the first time using CS5. Hopefully, the student rate kicks in soon after launch.

Can't take credit for taking this picture but it is beautiful:

yeah np. i could prob edit the 3rd one even more by putting the official MW2 logo in there instead of whatever that is so maybe i'll touch it up.

PS is sorta difficult to pick up. there's a lot to it. i've been messing around with it for 10yrs and there's still stuff i don't know how to do in it lol. i'd recommend putting aside a lot of free time and just screwing around with it. there's lots of tutorials online as well, of course

I'll probably be posting a large chunk of Lost ones I'm making for myself heh. Not making them from Scratch but making them from random pics around the net, resizing and small edits. Hope we got at least a few Losties up in here :D

I can't wait.

How about posting your avatar as well? I love lost

I really like this, how would I get it on my EVO?

TIA

Open the picture on your computer or laptop, and maximize it as much as possible. Then get your EVO and open the Camera application. Use zoom to match the viewport to the photo edges as best as possible. Try to hold your EVO very steady to avoid blur. Shoot the picture, and tada! its on your EVO.

Ok, seriously, there are about a dozen ways to put pictures on your phone:

  • email to yourself
  • copy to your mounted sd card
  • bluetooth file transfer
  • MMS to yourself
  • wifi network transfer
  • ftp file transfer
  • dropbox app
  • download from Picasa
  • download from flickr
  • download from Facebook

These are just the one's that I've personally used. Once its on your phone, view it in the Pictures app, and then select the option to set as wallpaper.

Haha smart ass! Thanks! I just wasn't sure if I had to do it differently because of the resolution! :p I'm not a TOTAL dummy!

Isn't that a bit too square? If the Evo's screen dimension size is 800 x 480, shouldn't it be that size? What am I missing?

well, no. first, the screen size is 480x800 (wxh).

but someone posted an example on the second page i believe of why it's 960x800. 960 spans all of the screens. with 480x800, it would stay the same image on all screens. it's like this...

imagine your home screen. it has a 960 width background on it. the center of this background is the home screen page. flick to the left (or right) and the image moves over a little bit, showing more of that background. so each page is going to look slightly different, with your home screen being the center of the background.

but yeah, a forum member posted a 960 image with it showing what part of the image shows as you flick to the right.

I was reading this and thinking WHAA ??? :p

Seriously though, these are beautiful. Can't wait for tomorrow!
