I've added 5 hours to my daily use with the following, simple method:
1. Upon completely charging your phone (while on), you'll see the orange light turn green
2. Power offer you phone and remove the charging cord
3. Remove the battery for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and place the power cord in the phone (Do not turn the phone on)
You'll see that the light is no longer green, in fact, you'll find that your phone charges for another 30-40 minutes. I'm not sure where this extra 'capacity' comes from, but filling it does wonders for your day to day. Also, grab a program like Linda and kill applications when you're done with them. I get a full day of use now, if not more.
huh, it's working. Went from green to orange again. I'll see if it does give me more power
Edit: Turned green in under 20 minutes. Maybe it depends on power source? You might be using your wall outlet for power while I used my computer connection. Still, good catch
Thoughts of an app that will set off the ringtone or have some sort of an audible alert once the battery charge reaches 100%? I'd be willing to create the app but havent ventured into programming for Android.... yet.
Weird. I was in the Verizon store today and they said they made the 2150 batteries and they are able to be order, except that they were sold out. So basically they are out in the wild, i just haven't found any yet.

F this battery life stuff. Is it going to kill you to buy a replacement/spare battery from Amazon for $5.00?
This phone is wicked fast and a whore house load of fun. I'm going to ride this puppy raw and put it away wet.
Wow. This completely destroyed my stock battery. I am VERY impressed.

I'm not arguing that's what you experienced. My problem is someone will read it and declare it canon. Then they will regurgitate it to others and it becomes fact, just like the task killer situation with android.
I'd rather not post it without fact either way. The word "official" means as much as "soon" around here.
why must the first charge be 8 hours? What does it do, exactly? Or is that HTC's way of idiot-proofing the first charge and ensuring there will be a full charge before the user turns the phone on?
Just a friendly **warning** for anyone wanting to use their blackberry charger on their droid. I was using mine and my battery would not hold a charge and lasted about 3 hrs. I took it back to Verizon to get a new one. The guy at the Verizon store said it was OK to use my Blackberry chargers. So I let the new battery wear down completely like he said and was out and about and used my blackberry charger for about 30 mins. I noticed the charger light was on, unplugged it and low and behold it would not even turn on. Down for the count. K.O..
So **if you use your blackberry charger it will kill your droid, at least the Incredible.** Don't listen to Verizon if they tell you otherwise. The specs on the chargers are slightly different.
thanks a ridiculous assumption.
I use an OEM blackberry micro usb cable everyday at work and it works fine.
