leaked 2.1 to official 2.1 update

hey i have the droid eris with the leaked 2.1 software. i am trying to figure any way possible to get the official update because of all the bugs and the market lacking certain apps. if anyone knows any way to get the update please let me know.

If you are running leak v1 or v2 upgrade it to v3. Leak v3 is the same as the OTA and fixes bugs in the other versions.

Yes. We will definitely be upgradeable to 2.2. It's costly though. Gotta bring your.Eris to any Verizon store and pay $200. This will be an "incredible" upgrade

flashing the v3 leak which is the same as the OTA OR getting the phone replaced if it is having real issues.

What is being referred to here is the fact that currently the Eris is not officially listed as one of the phones that will get the 2.2 update. The Droid Incredible is one that is listed.

Dont wanna be a dick, but if there was a way, im pretty sure itd be in a sticky or ud see a thread wit a whole lot of replies...jst saying, i have v3 as well, having real bugs n think imma get a replacement, imma get the droid 2 wen its released, this is a good phone, but idk, not good enough....anyone else gonna buy either 3 of motos new phones? Hope motoblur doesnt kill it...

The bottom line is that there is no upgrade path from 2.1 leak to 2.1 OTA. They are the same thing, so if you want OTA, reboot and stare at it some more... bada bing... there it is! The difference is what is in the bios (the bootloader), which theoretically can't be downgraded (the device doesn't allow for downgrades of the bios).

Actually, the reports that surfaced on the Droid 2 (which rumor has it is coming in 2 months) was that it would have a keyboard and be similar to the Droid 1, but with better processing power and a usable keyboard.
