Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I was on checking my order and went to the order page and it said "hurry only 3 left" at the bottom. I refreshed the screen and it said "only 2 " left I refreshed again and ........

I also talked to a person who said they had just gotten a "Whole bunch" in and was happy because she was tired of telling people they were back ordered. Looks like she didn't get a long break from saying it :-)

Hopefully I will get shipping info tomorrow. Then I will attempt to cancel with VW

Just got my email tonight as ship date: 6/2
Delivery Date: 6/3
Shipped from West Chester, PA.

They initially said I'd have it by 6/9 and it looks like I'll have it on 6/3. I've already taped the note on my door to let the FedEx guy leave it on my doorstep. I'm so close I can taste it!!

Hi, former lurker here! I also ordered on 5/19, and I'm also from Long Island, but I have yet to receive an e-mail. Maybe tomorrow!

Ordered my DInc 06/01 late nite via Amazon 2 day free shipping & have received confirmation that I'll receive 06/04. I'm happy with that.

Im guessing VW sold a lot more then Amazon and BB so while their back log is clearing up VW is still backed up.

I understand that all phone suppliers have had backorders for this phone. Pretty obvious with how hard it is to find.

They are all general public, however the people that have paid for the phone and have been waiting should get theirs first. I say "general public" as some joe blow, who has not pre-ordered it, walking into a BB and walking out 30 minutes later with the same phone that everyone on this thread has been waiting two to three weeks for.

I have no hate for those who have done this, I just want my damnd phone!
 
Ordered in story 5/18 and called CS rep and was told June 4th the first time and now told June 8th...so who knows...haven't gotten any shipping information yet either. I am in South Central Indiana.

On a humorous note, when I walked out my front door this morning
I saw a package from FedEx about the perfect size for a phone!
My heart almost jumped out of my chest. I had read on the threads
where some people were getting deliveries without getting an
email notice. But then I thought for a moment ... they would never
deliver this without a signature ... and sure enough it was something
else I had ordered.

One other question. I know this does not belong in this thread, but
just wondering if one can be re-charging this phone and have it
operational (I.E. receive and make calls), similar to plugging your
laptop into an outlet and not using battery power?

Drop off/ delivery question:
I could not find and solid information on FedEx's website about indirect signatures so I called their customer service ( 1.800.463.3339) and they basically confirmed what jes0212 said about leaving a note saying "please leave package fedex" and signed the bottom.

Humors story:
You humors story is not very humors, it is one of those :eek: moments then its a :( moment... lol

Last question:
I do not see why it could not be charging while also having it be
operational. Like you said like a laptop charging while you play on it

I was going to order mine from there as well but ended up doing it over the phone. Do you know if the Pasadena Store had a good variety of accessories...

Thanks for posting! I'm a 5/19 from NJ so I hope that I'll get an email soon. Knowing my luck, mine will come all the way from California.
 
Seeing all these 5/18 orders is making me giddy! I ordered mine 5/18 as well, but haven't received a notification at all. Hoping that I am one of those people that don't get one and it just shows up Friday. Ugh, I really need that phone to come. SO sick of this dang Blackberry Storm, can't wait to get rid of Blackberry altogether. lol

Lol.. I live in the middle of farm country so I don't think its a big deal here. Glad you confirmed it. I somehow found it while trying to track my package which I failed at.

The salesman pulled out a stack of all the available cases and a few other goodies. He discounted the black gloss silicone case and screen protectors so it was under 20 dollar, something like 30% off. This was a couple weeks ago so they may have more or less accessories. They have 2 working demo incredibles(a plural adjective oh noos!) I believe, I played around with one it was very used and had a bazillion things running. Took me awhile to get it to stop playing garth brooks.

Yeah but the phone isn't controlled by one retailer. Each retailer has their own back log. It looks like BB and Amazon do also but are getting enough re stock to fill those orders and have some left over. (probably because they don't sell as many) Their sales have no connection to sells made with/on VW and the fact that Verizon takes money up front is of NO relevance to those other retailers.

Live and learn. The next time I go shopping for a phone and it isn't in stock I'm walking out unless they have a strong incentive not to.
There are too many options out there now days to wait around. :D.
