Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Ordered in store on 5/26, so I'm just living vicariously through this forum for a while.
(FYI - While on the phone with CS today, asked for and received a (crummy) $20 credit toward Dinc because of wait time. The dude suggested that I hassle the store too, because since I ordered there they would be in the position to offer more....)

No, they don't own HTC, but they are the sole carrier of the phone, and given the volume of orders, should have first say of who actually GETS the phones. I am a 5/19 order, and am wiling to admit that I am somewhat ticked that rather than fill pre-orders, people could order from amazon and BB and get the phones weeks before people who actually ordered from the carrier.
For those asking:
Once i received my FedEx tracking number email, my order status on the Verizon page didn't update for a day. Now indeed it does say:
"Order Status: Your order has been shipped. You can track your shipment at www.fedex.com. Your tracking number is ." [yes, the tracking number is blank]
So if you don't get an email (check your spam folders), it looks like you can check the Verizon page to see if it has shipped.

FedEX is KILLING ME. It says my phone arrived Memphis on 6/2, then arrived there again today. It supposed to be delivered in AZ Today!

I'm a 5/17 online order and still nothing. Called them and no tracking number yet. What the deuce!
YOU GUYS rock! I ordered mine at the store on 5/30 and was told I'd see it around 6/18. Then I went to Amazon (thanks again!) and ordered yesterday. According to Amazon/UPS first it said it would arrive 6/7, now it says 6/4...I only wish that my UPS guy came earlier in the day...Maybe I can stalk him tonight and beg him as he usually comes by our area late in the day. Also cancelled my order from VZW so that's done. Can I use my rebate form still?

Ya know, I read the "official incredible thread" from front to back waiting on the release date (that was a lot of reading!), and now I've read this from front to back waiting on a ship date. I have done a whole lot of "waiting" reading. I just want my friggen phone.....sorry, rant over.

Ordered 5/17 and received shipment notification this morning about 9AM. Overnight shipping to Hot Springs, AR, will have phone tomorrow. Yay.

I keep listening for the truck - I don't remember feeling this excited since.....Christmas as a child when I got the little 'Jack & Jill' music player - which I later hid in the fireplace because I was mad that it kept playing the same tune. When my mom lit the Xmas paper and it was blazing hot I told her it was in there. She was not too happy.
(Don't worry, I won't do that to my phone. Besides, we don't have a fireplace)

I know how you feel. My wife said now she wishes my phone would get here so I would shut up about it. LOL (She said is a little nicer than that but that is what she meant)

What's strange is they're shipping it with an Indirect Signature required. This allows the driver to leave it with a neighbor if you're not home. Verizon usually specifies direct signature. I'll be home during delivery times, but for those of you who won't, watch out for this as you may want to leave a note for them to either leave it at your address or pickup at the station.

cool yeah I looked at my order and it was 7:39 am, I also been bugging Amazon chat people and they told it already had a label on it and ready to go but no tracking number until fedex or Ups picks it up
that's like saying you ordered something from Walmart and you think Kmart should fill the order. I know you're pissed about waiting but my God man it's not Amazons or BB's fault. Should HTC fill VW orders first, should be the argument. I could see making a point for that
but then they would piss off several other large retailers. tough call all around for HTC.

yes they did, I saw that later yesterday, and I had to call amazon right away and make sure I still had my phone coming
