Patiently awaiting someone with a 5/20 order date to say they have received their tracking number. Hopefully it's me.

Ship date Jun 3, 2010

Estimated delivery Jun 7, 2010 by 7:00 PM

for me

I ordered 5/17 and it finally shipped today. I watched multiple orders from the same order date get shipped days before mine. I'm guessing you should receive tracking today or tomorrow. Their shipments seem completely random.

Just got off the phone with VZW to get an order number so I can check FedEx and I asked the rep why some people are already getting theirs some being ordered on the same day as mine and some ordered after I did. He said mine was still scheduled for 6/8 and that he didn't know where anyone else had gotten their information from. Ok...so either all of you are lying (100% doubt it)...or VZW rep just has NO clue what's going on. I'll take door #2...

HATE WAITING!!!

If you are signing up for new service Amazon had to wait for approval from Verizon before they would ship, mine was an upgrade so it was an instant approval.

I am seriously lamenting the fact that I didn't order on 5/20 and instead spent the weekend searching in vain for a pair of Incredibles in stores. Now I'm stuck with a 5/24 order date and at least another week to wait.

Le sigh. :(

Its a CYA kinda thing. VZ is shipping orders as they can, but to avoid disappointment/anger, they are sticking with the original "ship by" dates.

Also keep in mind that unless you have people's order numbers, they cannot see that other orders are shipping anyway.

yeah I had talked to them and they said every was approved the first time around, yesterday about lunch then my status changed back to not shippe from shipping soon then, it changed back to shipping soon sometime last night then my card has been charged twice for 168.00 then I called this morning, find out what the deal was and told me everything was in order and it would be shipped to day, I will believe it when I get a tracking number or when the phone is in my hands.

At the risk of going off topic here, HTC has no obligation to send phones to Verizon over BB, Amazon or anyone else. They are likely filling orders in the order they were taken. As a company HTC will be doing business with each of these vendors again for this product and many others so they can't play favorites. It isn't their responsibility to send phones to the vendor with the most back orders, the vendors ordered what they ordered when they ordered and will get their shipments accordingly. With that being said, I am sure they are doing everything they can to meet the demand for this phone.

Good luck to everyone trying to get one in their hands...

ordered over the phone late 5/16 evening
free overnight shipping
free 2gb card
no email notification or tracking number of any kind
received today 6/3
i CANNOT wait to get home and get this baby out of the package!

since 5/19's are only starting to get shipped today, I wouldn't expect a 5/20 order to ship before tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get ours by Monday, though!

I have a hard time believing they dont have some kid of deal with Verizon for a set amount of their production since its their exclusive. Im sure Verizon has some kind of priority over 2nd and 3rd party dealers. But even if that is the case that means some are allocated to these other dealers...which im sure HTC is wanting to fill as they can because they are probably paying more for the phone than what verizon is. So, yes its annoying that people who ordered from Amazon are getting phones when im not yet (5/21), its business. If i wasnt prepared to wait the time Verizon told me when ordering i wouldnt have ordered. Now, if i am promised a ship date that doesnt get met then i will be a little annoyed...but it seems like they are shipping EARLY! Not late...everyone is acting like they are late. You should be glad Verizon is giving worst case dates and then doing better. Thats good customer service. Heck, maybe they would ship quicker if everyone would stop calling Verizon everyday! lol

Has anyone actually had verifiable luck in getting the shipping speed changed after an order was placed? I've gotten 3 different stories: 1. we can't change it because it is shipping tomorrow (tuesday) 2. we can put in a request to change the shipping speed 3. the rep who said they could put in a request was lying.

I did. I paid overnight, and discovered that it was coming 2 day when they sent me the shipping info. I immediately called and told the CSR the problem, and she went WELL out of her way to correct it. It will be here tomorrow instead of Monday, and I got another $20 credit to my account.

I've now been a member for 5 minutes. Ordered my phone May 14 (over the phone) Ship Date of June 3.

Verified this in store a few days later. Today I call and they have no record of my order!!!! *^%&^%&*

I'm gonna stop in the store after work today, but I am NOT happy right now.

Actually - it's quite probable that HTC is playing favorites. In the mfg, shipping, exporting world - it's all about who has the easiest means of doing business. This is the exact situation I deal with on a daily basis. If a customer (ie: Big Box store) has their ducks in a row and the wheels are greased, I'll promise them 50% of their order by, let's say Monday via air-freight (very expensive, but you'll get it within days). Their remaining 50% will ship on Thursday, but will go by sea (ie: boat = cheaper = additional 22-29 days). Meanwhile, other customers (ie: retail stores) who don't have this sort of thing down, or get overly consumed with paperwork, their order will get 100% by sea on Friday. Their delay is thier own fault, due to extra paperwork. This is typically how orders are shipped - fulfilled as supply comes in hand.

Overseas Customs, in China especially, is ramping up all their security and won't let anything budge until 100% of all paperwork is complete, accurate, and filed appropriately. If you make too much a fuss - it'll get delayed even longer.

Plus, you have to consider how many Purchase Orders HTC is trying to fulfil right now. I'm guessing each PO is probably around 25k-50k units each, and they have several PO's running concurrently for multiple customers.

Soooo - when you have a hiccup, such as Samsung making a faulty screen and needing extra time... well, the trickle down effect means that nobody really knows when this will actually get into the consumers hands (HTC has to get the components as they can. Samsung will fulfill their orders piece-meal, too). Overall, I'd say that Verizon, as much as I'm going to regret saying this, is actually doing a really good job at keeping us at bay.

And yes - I hate waiting for my new incredible too.....
