Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Very true. But do you know for sure that Verizon has no say on how HTC distributes these phone? If so what is it? Other than that it is pure speculation. :)

Yes.. Lol. I tried what forms were on here but since I ordered it in store I don't think I will see a status on verizons website till its at least shipped. Or maybe I will have no luck and it just shows up.

I am in the same boat with you -- I ordered on 5/21 as well.

I am really hoping it will come by 6/4 because I leave town on
6/7 for about 2 weeks! It would be great to have my new phone
for that. Also, if it does not come I am a bit worried they will try
to deliver it when I am away and thus this will fail because I am
not there and THUS it will be sent back to VW and I will have to
start this process all over again :( Any suggestions as to what
I should do if I leave on 6/7 and my phone has not arrived?

I was a bit hopeful because I ordered online, I am a current VZ
customer and live in NJ (east coast seems to have better luck).
But from reading this thread today my hopes are dimming.

On a humorous note, when I walked out my front door this morning
I saw a package from FedEx about the perfect size for a phone!
My heart almost jumped out of my chest. I had read on the threads
where some people were getting deliveries without getting an
email notice. But then I thought for a moment ... they would never
deliver this without a signature ... and sure enough it was something
else I had ordered.

One other question. I know this does not belong in this thread, but
just wondering if one can be re-charging this phone and have it
operational (I.E. receive and make calls), similar to plugging your
laptop into an outlet and not using battery power?

If you can get the tracking # once it ships, you can call FedEx and ask them to hold the package either for pickup at their location, or you can schedule a delivery at a later date. They will try to deliver it 3 times, and it will get returned after that.

Slightly OT, but quick question.

I know I have 30 days to exchange the phone if I don't like it. Will the 30 day countdown begin once I place my order for the phone, or does it start once I receive and activate the phone?

I'm sure I'll love the phone, but coming from 2+ years on a BlackBerry, I'm still hesitant to make the jump without something to fall back on.

Ordered mine on 5/22, so potentially a 5/24 through-date. Told 6/11, but from the looks of this thread, I'm hoping for midweek. Let's hope I'm home to sign for it!

Also live about 2 hours away from the WC warehouse and have overnight, so who knows what could happen.

Do you have a verizonwireless.com account? I was told that as long as I have an account on vzw I would get an email. I ordered 5/21 and praying for a 6/7 delivery date.
 
Should get mine tomorrow! Ordered 5/16 from Clovis, CA, shipped yesterday via FedEx 2 Day!! I never got the shipping notification, I sent CS an email and they responded with an answer and my tracking number, WOO-HOO!!!
 
Never received an email but just checked Fedex through the location#_Order# and BAM!!! IT'S ON THE WAY!!!

Ordered 5/17 but VZW posted it as 5/18

phones from Amazon and fairly quickly. Looking on the Amazon
site I see no mention of the 2 GB SD card. So perhaps something
to think about.

I bought 2 phones yesterday and I too saw no mention of a 2gb micro sd. No matter my wife and I have 16gb cards in our phones now. We'll just switch em over. Plus the phone has an onboard 8gb of storage. That's a lotta space. I got em for 299.98 and free shipping. Which is weird cus I wasn't charged taxes. Especially here in chicago! Hell they just raised taxes on candy n beer! A snickers costs like 1.50. Mayor Daley will probably want to tax the air we breathe soon.

Considering you can purchase a 2gb micro sd card for less than $1, it's hardly a deal breaker. You'll more than likely end up replacing that 2gb card anyway. ;)

Be sure to breathe.... Its ok. Let it all sink in. =) God I'm so anxious for Friday to get here. I want that phone in my hands already. Last time I was this excited over a toy was when I brought my xbox 360 home. I practically ripped the box apart lol.
 
Just talked to CS Rep...cause I had nothing else better to do. Did not really learn anything new, just that if anything were to change shipping wise, it would be that of sending units out a couple days earlier. So my order (5/28) should be shipped at least by 6/18.

Got shipping confirmation on 6/2 with tracking #.
I am located in Orange County, CA.
I have next day shipping and the phone is currently in Ontario, CA.
The phone should be here tomorrow by 3pm.

sweet, yeah I was going yo order mine on the 1st from them and got side tracked and ended up ordering first thing yesterday morning, but my status says prepared for shipment so today I should have a tracking number:D

You can not pick up until they attempt to deliver it once.

Who cares a 2 gb card cost about 5.00 bucks:D
