hi

I have been locked out of my xperia X10 for enterin the unlock pattern incorrectly too many times. Although I have been given the oppurtunity to put my google account email and address in. It still won't work. My google account still works on my PC. I'm truly at my wits end and need help please... anyone? plzzz plzz plzz

When you try to unlock the phone more than 5 times it locks the phone but only for 30 seconds and you can try again, this is right from Sony's site, you will have to call them for the only way I know is to either try to remove everything from the phone, Sim, Battery and leave it for 10 minutes and try it, if not then you can try Sony's default unlock code 0000 . other than that see if you can get into the phone menu somehow to turn it off or do a Factory Reset.

I had this problem. i shut the phone off for about 10 minutes. then tried my google account again. I had to enter it about 3 times then i finally got in.

I had the same problem with my x10, i tryed everything even turning it off for a while then back on. I entered in my google account info over twenty times and it still never let me in. I have managed to now unlock my phone without having to send it away, i went on to sonny ericsons website and upgraded the software on my phone. The only thing about doing this is that it wipes off anything saved to it. Just remeber to take out sim card and memory cards.:)

could you please provide me the link from which you downloaded the software?

I downloaded the PC Companion from Sony's site but that didn't work for me. I inserted the USB cable while holding the Back key, nothing happened and the phone just booted into its previous 'enter google acct' info again.

i dont understand why they have that screen if the phone refuses to take the google acct info

I just did the update service, and i have my phone back!!! i may have lost everything, including internet.. but that can all be replaced hopefully! thankyou.

this phone is a joke! this is the second time that it's locked and wont accept my google account. i'm getting tired of resetting everything! there must be an easier way?

Thanks for the feedback. I think you were lucky cos it hasn't worked for a lot of people and they have had to do the whole reset/repair thing. Its worth advising people to give it a try first tho just in case.

If you have tried the suggested cheat of typing in 'null' and that hasn't helped then the only thing you can do is a repair using Sony Ericsson Update Service, link given above. It will wipe your phone tho but its the only thing that will sort it out.

I am having difficulties with my x10. I have read all of the other forums on how to bypass the gmail account and I have tried to do that with mine. I have tried updating my phone numerous times and I have the newest firmware on the phone. I have also put "null" as my password to see if that would help and I still have the same result. If there is another way I can unlock it without having to send it in, may you please help me out. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You need to do a repair not an update on the Sony Ericsson Update Service programme downloadable from their website. It is the only thing that works but will wipe your phone. If this does not work then I guess your only alternative is to have it seen by SE service centre.

I have tried to repair it several times and each time I have no luck. Do you think when they release the upgrade to the Android 2.1 it will take care of it? I went and found out that that might occur here in the next week to three weeks depending on how long SE takes to add the new HD feature to the phone

No if the normal repair doesn't fix your problem then I can see that the update will. I suggest it needs looking at by SE or your telco/retailer.

The information that you need is all contained in the thread. Have a read through, basically you will have to do a reset/repair via Sony Ericsson Update Service.

no offence meant here but

I HATE LAZY PEOPLE

posting the same problem in the thread that the solution is in and its only 24 posts long

takes 5-10 minutes to read it

yet your posts are 40 minutes apart - what did you do ???
