I need a quick answer please.... Is it ok if tomorrow when I get my EVO that I use a different 8gb sd card that I have which is a class 4 instead of the one that comes with the phone??? I ask b/c I thought someone said something to the effect that the 8gb sd card that comes with the phone has the htc sync app on it???


please someone confirm or help me get an answer so I know what to do!!! I appreciate it very much and HAPPY EVO'S FOR US ALL ENJOY IT WE ALL DESERVE IT!!!

Sorry I just checked my info I saved for my start with the EVO and if you immediately swap out for another SD Card, the only thing you need off of the original is HTC Sync. It's most important because that is the app you need for wired USB tethering and for syncing with Outlook. If you dont copy that from the card you can get the HTC Sync software from HTC's website.

P.S. This is coming from Bek, I didnt wanna track down the original post but I made notes on things I thought I should know. Hope this helps man. :)
 
Well crap, its late/early in the morning/night but, do I have to have a Gmail account to activate my Evo? Guy setting up my appointment said I have to have one. Thanks

Thank you. Im new to Android and have never needed a E/G or hotmail account before. Is an account needed if Im going to be switching the EVO to another line in a family plan 15 minutes after we reup?

Yeah I remembered this last night and set one up. Its annoying in that all the variations on my name and email, even my gaming aliases are all taken.

I ended up with my first name. last name.email @ gmail best I could do.:mad:
 
So I'm sitting here at 6:38 AM because I can't sleep for the EVO(I usually wake up around 9-10 during the summer). Ya I'm tired of waiting... lol
 
Who needs sleep I get my evo in 2 hours :) I went to bed at midnight and woke up at 5.
Only thing I'm worried about is I'm 26 and acting like a 6 year old lol

just got my evo and am at home settin it up....anyone know where the setting for get emails "as they arrive" is? i only see stuff for hours and days....

also question #2 for those with their evo's already....anyone in a 4g area having issues getting on to 4g service...i'm in charlotte and am blanketed by 4g goodness, but the phone has been scanning for a 4g signal for a loooong time...on the phone with sprint as i type this, but my faith in them is not too strong...i'd rather get info from the forum...any ideas?

OMG people are getting there EVOS. I need to set up yahoo also. I cancelled my EVP and went to the Sprint store around 8:30 and there were like about 15 people in line and they said they had 60 of them in. I got mine and my guys and took his to him and came home to mess with mine. I have to work soon so I'll play with it at work.

The store transferred my contacts and I put in my gmail account and left. I couldn't even type on the keyboard to put in my email I have to get used to it. I did buy a pink silicone and a black one for him. The girl next to me got the white case it was nice. But I want everyone to post about the phone and for the ones for have it already I'm sure I'll have lots of questions.
 
anyone know if pics in the gallery can be viewed in a thumbnail kind of view or do i have to scroll thru every pic and search for what i'm looking for?


never mind i found it...it's in the menu folder under grid view for those interested
 
Got mine today. Took about an hr and a half with Sprint backups and Best Buy system problems... Make sure you make some time for the sprint system backup. It was bad.

I haven't got a tracking number or anything from EVP yet have you? Of course Andrew is on vacation also! They haven't even charged my card yet and I ordered 2+ weeks ago! When I did a web chat thias morning they told me they were shiping this morning but that was 3 hours ago and nothing.
