Hmmmm... last time I checked I could not multitask with my 3GS. Perhaps yours is different?iPhone 3G can multitask

Didn't know you could do that with an iPhone?
You need to jailbreak and run backgrounder + an app switching tool.
so then it can't multitask, it has to be modified.
I was really curious about this and I'm glad I saw this thread. I'm an iPhone owner looking to switch to sprint. my iPhone is very smooth but the two android 2.2 phones I've seen on sprint (htc hero I think?) have serious lag issues. I would have thought this was te FIRST thing that would have been addressed..... in android 1.0.
like i dont care if my pc or mac has 1 billion programs is the mouse stutters a lot.
This is something that I've been stating for a really long time, but no one actually believed.
For some reason the iPhone's kinetic scrolling and animations are smoother. For example its like the iPhone is running at 60fps while other phones are at 30fps.
The 1ghz snapdragon is fully capable, which has led me to believe that the iPhone OS is either more efficient, or has better coding. The new iPhone HD is supposedly getting an A4, which should make this gap even more prominent.
Hopefully Google can optimize their OS, but as of now, the iPhone is unmatched when it comes to scrolling and transitions.

It's just this one piece of code in the OS- scrolling - makes such a huge difference on how the phone feels.
but really this extremely subtle difference has a very powerful affect on the end user.
It's true. I'm an Android user, owned a G1, myTouch, Cliq, Hero, etc. and just now are phones starting to be able to compete with the original 2007 iPhone. That phone still has less lag than almost everything that's come out until now. It's pretty ridiculous but I'm glad that we're finally getting there. Don't get me wrong I still prefer Android, but it's amazing how long everyone else has to play catch up with 2007 technology.
Y'all are TRIPPIN'!!! Buttery smooth over here!!! This phone has blown me away!!!
iphone scrolling is a tad better, so if that's the most important thing to you get an iphone, if you like being able to do well everything get a EVO
Wait until Froyo hits this and the incredible. Everyone else will be playing catch up for the next 3 years. LOL
