Can anyone compare the AMOLED screen to a TFT screen. What kind of differences are we looking at? Are either known to be better then the other?

Usually our breaking news has to do with pictures or videos of new devices and their specs, but today, we’re going straight off of Verizon word. There has been a ton of speculation surrounding the release of the Droid X and Droid 2 by Motorola and we finally have a date for the release of at least one of them from multiple sources.
Over the last couple of days, Verizon stores were told to place t-shirt orders (like during the Droid Incredible launch) and prepare for an early opening with full staff on July 19th for the Droid X with new merchandising taking over store windows on the 18th.
The official announcement will be made by Verizon next week. (About time right?)
Start saving people, you have 34 days to find an extra lump of cash.
Who’s getting one?
My contract with AT&T from the iPhone 3G expires 7/21. Perfect timing as long as it's not out of stock by then.
Preorder the Droid X with a new (temp) phone number...then port your number a few days later when your AT&T contract has expired.
I'm going to use my wife's annual upgrade to upgrade myself to a Shadow. She won't mind.
Waiting for the 4.1" vs 4.3" debates to start.
Why is this still the shadow forum when its That Droid x officially?
Why would anyone debate this? It has already been stated to be 4.3 by someone who has it.
To summarize what we know so far based on leaks from Winston/Bill and others; what we know about the Shadow is...
This info is provided from the hofo shadow thread.

Well. All I know is I'm not due for a upgrade til next year, so ill have to open up a third line to get the discounted price. Then port the phone to my existing number. I can do that right? Then just don't ever use the 3rd line?
First post in this very thread:
Can't this one just get merged into the pre-release thread? Admins? Hello?![]()
