Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Promised ship by date: 6/18

Actual ship date: 6/16 from Westchester,PA
Estimated delivery 6/18 by 7 PM to Virginia


Damnit, I guess I didn't get the overnight shipping upgrade. But oh well, it'll be here soon.

That feels about right. This thread though, i swear i haven't laughed so hard in ages. I may start back at page 1 and read the whole thing over again (thats what i call devotion) just for the outrageous comments.

PS where's zombie, did he get his phone today and now he's to good for us:D. That or he didn't get it and he went to Fedex and tried to start a picket line/riot???

Only remaining question... do I activate it right away, or let it sit for the weekend so the Droid X release falls into my 30-day window? ;-)

And, if I let it sit for the weekend, is there any reason I wouldn't be able to enjoy its Android awesomeness via wi-fi?

I'm afraid to sell it. How does VW track these phones? Since I had to extend a new contract (I was a current customer out of contract) So they sold it to me for 149.00. I got one from Amazon last week and activated it. I then canceled my VW order

So if VW doesn't have a clue or somehow tracks this phone to see if it gets activated I'm afraid they will bill me full price later.


Does anyone know how that works?

At the least I can return the Amazon one for a full refund plus return shipping (nice return policy) and save 50.00.

But after staring at the Dinc screen for a week though I'm thinking I may need the Droid X That's coming and may return both:D decisions decisions. (I like the screen it's just that I'm getting too old to read that tiny stuff for long without going blind.)

Same situation here. I am wondering if I should do the same so that the X falls into my 30 day window as well...just in case. Although maybe the pre-order date will fall in our 30 day window anyways.

Verizon is supposed to be making an announcement next wed (6/23) about their new droids, i'd imagine that there would be a pre-order shortly after that....my guess anyway

Yeah hopefully so. I just want to make sure the release falls within my 30 trial period because I did the buy one get one free with the droid and got the incredible for free as a result. So if for some reason my incred needs to be returned, I want to be able to use that free phone credit on the X.

Then we call all go hang out in the "waiting for my X" thread. I hope I love my Dinc when it arrives because I don't think I can take another waiting game. I still have 13 days or so to go hanging out in this thread.

Why dont you just call verizon...and the Droid X's screen really is not that much bigger than the incredible, if you dont believe me look at the comparisons at engadget.com

I'm pretty sure VW will say to give it back:eek: and the screen of the DX is almost an inch longer so it's quite a bit bigger with higher res. It's EVO size and maybe a little bit more. It'll still be small but bigger. Personally I think it's might be too big for carrying around but at least I can see it with less eye strain.
That and the fact that I have yet to see a keyboard for the Dinc that has cursor keys drives me crazy. I'm sorry but my big fat fingers weren't made for trying to place a cursor between little letters and many items are just too small for a person with big finger tips to hit accurately. (I can't tell you how many times I called someone while trying to hit the little edit button) So a bigger screen would also help there.
I love the phone and all the cool crap it can do but I'm old and have fat fingers:rolleyes:

I couldn't find the article on engadget where are they hiding it.

It seems that several phones expected to ship by 6/21 were actually shipped today. That's good news for us 05/30's. Does FedEx deliver on Saturdays?
