With all due respect, you can't be serious?

Three weeks to a month to ship on direct online/phone VZW orders - ignoring for the moment the brick & mortar orders - is hardly a "very large contingency".

I tip my hat to your PR effort but anyone with half a brain can tell you don't have a "contingency" of devices. Especially when replacements are being filled after new/upgrade orders.
So 35,000 devices as of last Friday isnt enough? How many would you like for our 80million customers? Yes a bit of PR is involved because after all, I do love the company I work for. However, I know the "shortage" is hurting us, but having 20devices in the store at launch, yes shortage, having 35,000 in the warehouse and they are being allocated instantly, I see that as a fantastic thing because it means people are still ordering.
During the 1st 2 weeks of ordering, the phones were shipping about 3-4days before estimated delivery date. Sounds to me there was a imidiate shortage in store, people did their homework on it, then ordered after 2-3weeks..Beleive what you wish sir =)

Yes, we'd like to know if the "VW" in your case actually stands for Verizon wireless and not "Volkswagen" as happened earlier in this forum. Many of us were fooled in asking a Volkswagen technician Verizon questions! LOL

I for for believe you are with Verizon, I was an indirect dealer for a few years and your language sounds correct!:D

Seeing what you posted here looks like it's a copy/paste from a list of technical bulletins.

Can you provide the entire current list of official technical bulletins for us please?

As of right now, this is the only technical bulletin out for this device..Few for accessories, but nothing on the phone,that I can find.

what about the question of rooting? does that void the warranty in any way?
Ah yes forgot about that. Yes it does void warranty, however, most technicians in the store are not, hmm how can I word it..."trained?" in knowing root vs a simple launcher app. And if your phone is bricked, how are they gonna know? =)

I myself ,when i had my moto droid, rooted/modded the heck out of it. Then i fru'ed it out, and noone was the wiser.

Any news on releasing Froyo??! It says second half of 2010, I hope it's not December 2010!

Screen issue hasent been deemed a problem yet. I think it takes a certain % of stock or how many sold vs how many have been reported issue for it to be a bulletin. In my store ive only heard of 1 case with this.

But thats not my area..

My car-charger stopped working recently. I took it in to the store where I got it (as well as my phone, two other phones, a family plan for all three phones, insurance through the franchise for all three phones, two other charges, and screen protectors) and the employee told me you need the box for any sort of exchange. I became instantly furious (I'd expected an easy exchange, or at least a warranty number to call) and stormed out. I consider myself above arguing over something like that and I'd rather just go buy another charger at another store. Do you know anything about this policy? I certainly wasn't informed of it at point of purchase. And even if I was informed there would be no proof as I didn't sign anything acknowledging my awareness of the policy. So... is this just the standard policy? Right now I plan on just going to a competing Verizon franchise.

Other than that my phone's been perfect except for the back cover. The rubber coating has peeled off a little bit around the 3.5mm jack, and, as of this morning, the T fell off of the HTC logo. I don't mind the logo falling off, but the missing rubber coating is pretty sloppy looking and will continue to get worse. How should I take care of this? I don't mind going back to the franchise where I purchased the phone if I have to. I also don't mind waiting for shipping of a new back cover if I can just call verizon corporate or htc directly.

Thanks for your help. It's pretty cool of you to make this thread. Sorry my question isn't technical about how to work the phone or something. And I realize you guys have policies and everything.

Not really sure where you came up with this...EVERY major phone forum has reps from providers.

It's an encouraged practice.

If you purchased the charger at a verizon wireless corporate store, you have a 1yr limited warranty..not having the packaging is a way for them to give you a little trouble..just ask for a manager and for something like that they should approve it no problem. They could just keep the new packaging.

Im sure something will come out. We released an official extended battery accessory, so im sure cases for that will come to follow. Car dock i only know what i posted earlier

No, I work for VZW. And im aware of what I can and cannot say. So thank you. No information or anything ive said has in any way been "privy" information that isnt already released to the general public. So they will have a hard time doing that I think. If i was going around yelling about phone release dates and other stuff thats a different story.

I dont need permission to live my life. Again, if i was giving information thats not known to public eyes, ide be violating our statement of confidentiality. Which I have not done =)..Oh and p.s, beleive it or not,i beleive customer service calls are recorded for quality assurance :-P whether they are saved or not afterwards is a different story

Probably slim to none. Someone posted something in a different thread that we were making some sort of announcement this Wednesday..I doubt it will be within 30days of your incredible tho.


Also:

Any information on pending orders is the same information you would get from tracking it via my verizon or calling 611..What i meant by shipment orders, was if someone wants to order, i can tell you the schedule for shipping, or if it changes in a good or bad way, i can update you!

He isn't offering to reveal any big, dark secrets, he is offering to answer questions that you could get answers for by talking to ANY Verizon employee. Maybe a lot of his "I don't knows" are polite ways of telling us he can't or won't answer some particular question, which is perfectly within his rights, and even expected!

Oh, I personally am not attacking him or his answers. Just giving a BIG heads up. There is a major call center about 25 mins from where I live and I know people who have been fired there when they got on unofficial forums even though their interests were to help and not give out any info they couldn't give out over the phone.

It was more of a "Hey, think about what you're doing; is it worth it?"

Honestly, all of my "dont knows" are legit dont knows. If i knew something, and couldnt tell you, I would pull a "cant answer that" type thing. Ive been here a long time, i know all the ins and outs..Im not stupid =) thanks guys.

Honestly, as far as new stuff, as a rep, the lowest, but most important part, of the vzw team, we dont get updated very often on new products until a few weeks before they come out. So its not like we have a binder or something on the itranet thats this big secret box thing like I-phone release ect..although i wish there was haha

I understand where you are comming from. Honestly I thought about it very hard before I posted. Thinking about what angles they could try to take. And HR would have a field day with any person trying to can me for anything ive said on this forum. Ive literally said nothing wrong.
