rooted prevail (gingerbread EJ06) When I move an icon, it winds up disappearing. If I try to move an icon from APPS to home screen it doesn't take. I've rebooted but haven't done a factory reset (rather not) Ideas?

I have a rooted prevail (gingerbread EJ06) but only use it for non phone tasks (using a LG Marque now) I'm not interested in upgrading and re-rooting; at least at this point. Is there a way to stop the non stop nagging to upgrade the phone? TIA

I lost my root with last update (I musta hit install over later :confused: ) But I'll go the flashing route for root if I can get it to be a hot spot form my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (though probably will anyways to get TitBU back) So what works to make it a HotSpot? TIA
