I've noticed that when the EVO's screen is turned off, and you get an SMS, the notification sound works just fine. However, unless you've assigned it so that you get a visual notification up in the taskbar, you won't hear the notification if the screen is on. I find this incredibly redundant...

Wasn't sure if this should be in the troubleshooting section, since there might not be anything wrong. When I mount my EVO, all I see is my 8 gig micro SD card and no other volume. I was assuming that if I wanted to root, I'd need to actually see the EVO its self and not just the SD card...
