So if I am sending or fowarding a text how do I add contacts. if i start typing a name it will pop up but is there anyway to see a list of contacts and check them to insert them?

Can someone explain why out of nowhere all my folders emptied out. Apps are still in the phone but the apps I had in my games folder moved to another and all others are empty. phone is not rooted and I was not doing anything it just happened. The phone is a new optimus s. thanks.
