Been trying to build CM7 for the Ascend from source using your guide here: Compiling CM7 for the Ascend M860

I keep getting the error "make: *** Error 41"

Don't hold your breath on that official CWM build... LOL

@rmb1773, CWM works great on the OM/C, just a lil tricky to install until koush officially builds it.

So I'm going to double check your wiki and make sure it's still cool to use clockwrkmd and get onto cyanogenmod7. what's up PG? I love your work brother. I have been following your work since you started and I should have IM'D you long ago, haha it would have saved me two OM's. So I'm on M #3 and I really want to get it going. Naturally when I picked it up after bricking it's predecessor getro programmed 2.2.2 into it first thing, so I just wanna just be sure that your cwm recovery is the way to go. Dude I have some crazy shit on my unrooted OM. Superuser is in my apps homepage and I must have every app except busybox right on my app wall, but no root. I thought I was going to get root on 2.2.2 with terminal emulator getting a workout but no go I have all my apps pulled and I'm ready to do recovery just wanted to check in with you.

I just did your 7.1 the 624 build but I might try the earlier 7.2 when i get a better sdcard, but I really like this build. I got everything workin now but I had to use the 2gig card that came with my original phone, had to use the computer and my 4gig wouldn't work in my printer, but now I got those 4 builds,Gapps, and metroff on this sd, card and have the stock recovery files as well on the computer.

most likely by starting fresh. Think I seen posted some where sum1 found an app that will fix it.

well I found threads that talk about wifi issues the same as mine but they either change the subject or the one having the issue just say they fixed it and dont tell how they fixed it.

nope metroff wont fix wifi. Those are some f'd up programs then And if they wont uninstall I would complain to whereever you got em. NOTHING you install shouldnt be able to uninstall!!

I dont really want to plug into cpu cause there are blackberry programs that will not uninstall and they somehow lock my sdcard so it wont work in any device except my phone

The metroff will fix my wifi issue also?

It is turning on then back off automatically after 5-10 seconds, wont scan and I got 2 different apps that will scan but wont pick up any signals. I need wifi to get metroff. Yes I have a m860 that came with 2.2 from metro, is the android market just wrong? My data works but not for very long and usually only after I reboot the phone

If you have a M835 and have the Ascend M860 ROM on it, yup and that would be why wifi doesnt work. either.

But if you have a Metro Ascend and I asumme you do by your comments then you need to flash metroff mms fix. Other than that wifi should be working fine.

I am having problems with wifi, any suggestions? I read about others having issues but it was because they didn't format but I did format everything except sdcard, I did that right before installing zips. I desperately need wifi because I am still having data issues (this has been a problem ever since I got this warranty replacement after my 2,1 bricked attempting the 2.2 update via wifi and it came with 2.2 installed). I went to the market on my cpu to try get a wifi app and somehow it says my phone is a cricket M860, is that possible??

umm on the FC, prolly had something installed that had saved sumtin to the sdcard. Prolly a media player of sum sort.

One last question if I may, why does it keep popping up "process.media" stopped unexpectedly? I formatted sd card before flashing.
