Hi, I am trying to follow your post about forcing android 2.2 onto my droid. It is back to android 2.1 update 1, and not rooted. I follow the post to a T and still get the error message that it cannot verify the whole file signature-i think i read on another post that it will say that error it the package had been opened, but the file is not open, I put it straight from my download folder into the root of the SD Card. Do you have an idea of how i can get this done?

Hello. I have a Motorola Droid. I used your guide http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid/140721-how-force-official-android-2-2-froyo-update-motrola-droid-frg01b-update-1-2-a.html with the help of my computer to update to 2.2

Everything installed correctly, in Phone Info it said I was running 2.2, but a couple of things aren't working.

First, Flash isn't working, and when I go to a page that uses it and click "Get Flash" it takes me to a page saying "Adobe Flash Is Coming To Your Device Soon"...

Second, When I go to Wifi Settings, and Tethering, there is no "Portable HotSpot" just the "USB" one, which would be fine, but when I try to use it, it just takes me to a page where I sign up for $20 a month to use it, and I know it is suppose to be free.

Are you experiencing any of these problems? If so, have you found a fix?

Mr. Trident, can/will you chime on about the FRG22 updates/install? I want to do it and get it over with, but I've downloaded 2 Odexed and both get a sig failed.

A link to download FRG22 is in the update to this article (@ the bottom). Do we still download and install the same way? Is this file any good?

If I may make a suggestion in the manufacturer forums... Perhaps break them into categories, I.e. 2.2, tips, applications, updates, chat etc? It'd tidy it up a bit, getting harder to sift through everything.

I have done the manual update to 2.2 and have tried to manually install flash since not on market, but still no flash. Any advice would be appreciated.

To my knowledge, it just began the day before yesterday.

Is this 3G problem w/data reset you posted about a new problem that has cropped up or has it always been there?

I know your swamped but I was looking and didnt see anything for the droid X. Any idea if the update will work for it?

I followed the exact step by step instructions, however my android version still says "2.1-update1" but everything else got updated such as Kernel version and Build number. My application launch is still from 2.1. Help..
