Root Unrooter - DOWNLOAD

i'm very new to the android phones and have been with the old time phones for the past several years. i decided to buy the LG Esteem a couple of days ago and i am still trying to learn the basics of this phone. A friend told me to JB it but like i said before, i'm new to this adroid thing. So if you guys can help me i would very much appreciate it.

JB is for iPhones,iPads, or iPods. You would need to root your phone. Follow the directions in the link below. How to root the LG Esteem.docx I created this step by step with pictures for people who are new to Android. Let me know if you need any help or if this works. Thanks.

one little thing got left out in the batch file, you should also add the following to clean up the superuser app (before removing su):
adb shell rm /system/app/Superuser.apk

No biggie, but keeps things tidy. :D

So I ran the unrooter (for some reason if I run as administrator it just opens up and then immediately closes so I just ran it regularly) and everything looked like it was working until right after it sent the speedlings... then some commands prompt up that I don't even have time to read before cmd closes. My phone is still rooted. I tried a factory reset and I still am rooted with superuser as one of my applications!! I need help bad! Any suggestions?!

use root explorer and delete it from /system/app.

I'm noticing that when I run the unrooter, when it runs the commands with adb shell rm that all of them are file or directory not found...

None of them seem to remove the file...

Like I said, I use Root Explorer so I'm not sure about ES. But, with Root Explorer you have to grant super user permission and switch to read/write mode. Check your menus and make sure you're in read/write mode or you will not be able to remove/delete files.

ES File Explorer has similar options - open menu then settings and in the Root Settings section check 'root explorer' and then check 'mount file system' which then allows / to be writeable.

Use Root Explorer or ES File Explorer (Note from NUKED: "has similar options - open menu then settings and in the Root Settings section check 'root explorer' and then check 'mount file system' which then allows / to be writable.") to first erase Superuser.apk then run the UNROOTER script, let it run it will try to find different files in several folders, it looks like the script is not working but it works. All SU traces were erased from the file system of my Esteem. Run Root Checker and will state that you are not rooted. Proceed to erase all downloaded apk that use root using ES File Explorer and disable it's root and mounting features. If you use Ti Backup apk to freeze metropcs bloatwere go ahead and defreezed them before performing the UNROOTER script. And last but not least perform a factory reset. Your LG Esteem will go back to original factory conditions.
I perfomed these steps following several advises I read from this thread, I thanks to everybody. Somehow along the way I lost data connection 4G and was not able to fixed it, not even Metropcs techs (three calls, soft resets, new rooming list file and a visit and nothing they could do). So I was ready to exchange my esteem but after the UNROOTER process and factory reset (privacy menu) the 4G connection came back as new, a life saver.

Hope it helps.

Download the file and extract it on to your computer (right click and select extract)
Connect your phone to your computer and pull down the status bar and put it in internet mode
then open the file and click the file that says "UNROOT"
and a black box will appear and run some things then your phone should reboot.

You may have to hit enter once or twice when the black box comes up.

I am not able to run the program. Its says it is successfully running but doesnt do anything for a long time. Please help me. :(

make sure the phone is in internet mode by pulling down the status bar.

I have done that and I followed all the steps but nothing happens. I left it for a good 30 mins.

I know it shouldn't be this hard but something is wrong. :(
I'm sorry.
