Concerned

I'm concerned about the well-being of @Clementine_3 and @MoodyBlues. I know Moody is having health issues but had continued to log in to AF now and then even if she didn't post. She has not logged in this year. Clem is a more recent absentee. I know she was disappointed in the more recent downturn in family friendly posts here but understood she, being the only active female, was outnumbered. She gave no indication she was leaving so I worry about her health. Both of these ladies are long term contributing members that these forums and I truly miss. I hope they are fine. There are so few of us left that the impact of losing a quality member is devastating to me.

Sorry... I'm a mushy old man and worry about the AF family. If you know anything about the missing... please let us know.
 
I too have felt the disturbance in the force resulting from their absence. I have been concerned about Moody for quite some time, in part because she has been rather open about her myriad health challenges. In that sense, Miss Clem is more enigmatic, but both are sorely missed.

On a somewhat-related personal note, I am occasionally a bit troubled by the less-than-family-friendly posts, but the older I’ve gotten the more I try to simply ignore it. AF/EBF is to me a respite of sorts from the craziness of life, and I try not to let such things ruffle the feathers I have left.

My best to all, with hopes that we will hear from both of these excellent folks before too long. <3
 
I certainly did not intend to run another member off from my post. It has taken each and every one of us to keep these forums alive. Somehow, all of the pieces of the puzzle have always fit together. Even as odd shaped as I am, I have fit in.... barely.

So if it was so offensive, why did @Clementine_3 liked my posts in that thread. I don't see anything wrong with the word. It's how I used it, that offends you..... to which I'm sorry.
 
We've lost so many of the old guard from AF in its prime: Phases, OTD, BabyBlues, more than I can count or can even try to name. In 2013 this was the place to be, because Android was really coming into its own. Now? Encrypted bootloaders; few ROM choices and fewer reasons to install them (every function we ever needed that required rooting & ROMming are pretty much part of the OS now); and smartphone development has pretty much plateaued. I know Moody was going through more than any human being should have to endure... all at once. Clementine? Not so sure because we've lost a lot of members by attrition: either through loss of interest or the big changes here. I hope our old friends are still well, and I've been here since November 2009... no sense in my leaving now.
 
2012 for me, did my first root after joining here and following all the info. Rooted multiple devices up through my S5 but none since. No need, a lot more difficult on most devices if not impossible and downsides like banking apps won't work. So mostly a social gathering place now for those who are left.
AF had already moved away from being a serious tech site long before it flew the coop and became EB.
 
Well, to be honest, I don't mind a social club, here. Came here to figure out some issue ( I have no idea of when though) and worked through it and numerous more over the years.
I was a moderator on another Android page.
Strictly Android. Get notifications from them, still, mostly on how to bypass the locks on prison tablets these days.
