Meta Raybans and Meta Oakley Glasses

ocnbrze

DON'T PANIC!!!!!!!!!
so i have the Meta Rayban glasses and i love it. the only complaint i have is the battery life. it is not great, it can last about 4-6 hours before it is 15%. but the charging case can charge it to 50% with in 20 minutes so it is not too big of a deal.

i have now pre-ordered the Meta Oakley glasses which supposed to have superior battery life. it looks super cool. it is not cheap though. also the one i pre-ordered is a limited edition.

I'm sure my life can do without sunglasses that has social networking and IM included.
They'll be a China sunglasses next, that has Wechat, Bili Bili, and Douyin included.
Yeah fair enough, and when you are walking it is so distracted, making the blue light filter useless.

Out of curiosity, and this is a genuine question, what is the benefit of smart glasses?

so for me it comes in handy when i am at work. the camera is pretty decent and if i need to take a photo of something i can just look at it and either tell meta to take a photo or video or i can just hit the bottom on top of the right ear side of the glasses. also the meta ai is pretty good. it does make mistakes from time to time. but it is great to ask meta if you are in need of an answer without having to pull out your phone. also it can answer phone calls, play music or audio books, and it can also stream audio of any movie or youtube video.

Wasn't this something people objected to with Google Glass users, the idea that they could be photographing or filming you any time?
yeah but they put an led light so as to show that you are recording or taking pictures. however, they do sell on Amazon stickers to cover them up. plus the camera blends in well and no one really knows what i am wearing. only a few notice that i am wearing smart glasses.

How bright is the flash though?

@ocnbrze ty for the splaination! So it's basically a glasses camera?
nope it also has the meta ai as well. it has a pretty decent bone in speakers so you can make and receive phone calls. i use it sometimes to listen to podcasts as well as audio books. it is so much more than a glasses with a camera.....plus it has that iconic Ray-Ban look.

Thank you

i find it hilarious when i am on the phone thru my glasses. people are so used to seeing airpods or other ear buds when people are talking on the phone. but people only see me with my glasses and i leave them wondering who is he talking to.

Yeah a lot of people often questioned though, some airpods and hearing aids are the same, mine are invisible but a small transparent wire up close with my skin tone, and people wonder who I am talking to as well.

those are AR glasses. they are slightly different than smart glasses. so those glasses have a digital led screen. these are kind of like vr glasses. they do pass thru so that you can see the real world, but they are not designed to be used as regular glasses. these glasses are pretty cool. i was looking at viture for a while now, but at the moment you can't really drive with these glasses. they are mainly designed to use the screen in the glasses. you can hookup your pc to the glasses and use the glasses as a computer. you can also watch movies and play games with these.....but again, these are not actual glasses.

the meta Raybans and meta Oakley glasses are actual glasses. however, the ai needs both the glasses and phone powered on. you can where these will driving. you can even put your subscription lense into them.....which is what i am planning to do with my new Oakley glasses that i just received today.

the only drawback that i see so far with the Oakley's is that i want to be able to wear them when i am indoors. the lenses that comes with the limited editions that i have are tinted and are not transitions........i am curious as to how much better the battery life is. i will not be able to test that out until i get my prescription lenses in. they do feel much better than my Raybans. they sit on my face better and just have a much better quality feel. the charging case/dock is also much better than the Raybans. the case feels much sturdier and i really like how the lid opens and closes. i'll take both with me to work so that i can where one while i drive and then othe other when i am indoors.

next week i am taking them in to get my subscriptions put in.....i'll keep you guys posted and give my review of the Oakley meta glasses.

Yes i know they aren't seeing glasses, i just thought they were interesting....... My friend has the Meta Raybans.

The only good i see in ar glasses is for when you are traveling. I can't see any real world use for me. I'm sure they are amazing when in use. But I have my phone, tablet or laptop that I can use when I travel.
