Downloaded the 4.4 version of Google services on my s4 and now it seems its gonna make my battery even worse, do I really have to resort to turning location services off completely?! Argh!

Has anyone managed to ever achieve a backup of the s3 through kies using windows 8. At first i was getting this device is not compatible with Kies 2.0 and now im getting 'preparing' for about 10 minutes 'Data backup can not proceed because of an unexpected error' and it does it constantly, grr!!
