While taking a call that last longer than my screen blanking time the screen stays blank when I take the phone from my ear after saying goodbye. Is there anyway to make it screen come to life when you remove the phone from your ear after a lengthy call?
When I click the envelope button by a contact why is the keyboard focus not immediately placed into the text area where you want to enter text?
Is this an Android thing or an Atrix thing?
Is this configurable?
If there is no good reason for this it seems like just one more of those niggling...
Can anyone help?
Tried using ATT tech support but got disconnected after 15 mins and they'd still not solved the problem.
Everything works but 1/2 sec after send get a message back saying it failed to send.
Why is this not "obvious"?
Can it even be done?
Can you modify a contacts tele number?
Geez, I must be one really stupid MF as I can't find a way to do any of the above.
Edited to add: Ok, Ok, I am one stupid MF, you have to edit the contact. Seems to me that android has taken a step...
When the screen goes blank during a long hold waiting for someone I can't simply touch the screen to talk to them.
Also, the speaker phone's microphone is disabled when the screen blanker kicks in. That is you can hear them but they can't hear you.
I'd find that acceptable if I only...
There seems to be a feature, I don't recall where at the moment, that appears to search for a file server. Is this correct? Is it it looking for a Windows/Samba server? CIFS?
How do I know my Atrix is using wireless and not cellphone for TCP/IP stuff?
Does it always favor using, or force use of, wireless if you are currently connected?
Seems like the entire world is going gaga over Samsung. I read everywhere that they are taking the world by storm with their TV's, cell phones and soon with their Android pads.
The debacle of the Galaxy phones must be a fluke otherwise you'd be seeing them lambasted in the press.
Even boards...
Over the GPS and to a lessor extent the 4 buttons being too hard to use.
Good luck to everyone with the GPS optimizations that are supposed to be delivered in Sept.
I'm thinking Streak! Naw, that is stuck with pre-2.x Android. Hmmmm.....
The new Captivate's GPS works no better, it remains to be seen if it shuts off randomly like the 1st one.
So, my wife and daughter where standing there and wanted new phones. When we walked in I thought they might get HTC Aria's. But, they picked up an iPhone and the GPS locked rock solid in...
I logged in to check my build date on my phone, I recall seeing it when I registered my IMEI number but did not record it. I could find it no where so I thought I click on chat to ask where it is located.
Well after poking around and finding the chat button I found it to say chat
was no longer...
I was just there yesterday but can't find the link nor can I google it.
And I mean the one with tech support not the sales oriented one.
It had a dedicated URL, was not a branch off their main site.

OK, I purchased a Captivate Fri and shortly found that I too have problems with GPS. So I spent time on the phone with tech support this weekend and they acknowledge that a general GPS problem seems to exist. However, she would only talk about GPS in the context of use with ATT Nav. And...
