Wifi tethering "barnacle" stopped working ever since i flashed the OC kernel. It just sayd "starting" forever. Can ne1 help?

Im in unitology and my "barnacle" tether has always worked fine. Once i downloaded the overclock kernel, tethering only says "starting" but doesnt progress passed that. Ive tried other tethering apps now too but none work. Any help on how to get tetheringg back would be appreciated.

My phone keeps freezing/lagging temporarily only when my phone is charging. I have tried underclocking, 4 different roms including half-ass. Also, music skips badly when it is plugged in but is perfect when unplugged. Any ideas on whether this could be a battery problem or something else?
