So my dad's phone is stuck in a boot loop, his phone has never been rooted or modified at all, and assuming from the new splash screen at startup, i'm assuming that the kitkat update must have bricked his phone. Anybody else have problems with this update? Thanks in advance!

i just got an OTA update for my Hydro Icon. i installed it and now i am on KitKat 4.4.2. keep an eye out for this update, in my opinion it makes the phone faster.

Seems like this is a new space for this phone. I just bought this as a boost mobile phone and I am trying to figure out how to root it mainly so I can use wifi tether for root users since no other wifi tethering app wants to work. Any help would be appreciated.
