zte awe

Hi all! A newbie here... I have done a lot of readings and is hard to digest all the information on the first day. I have four zte awe phones. I rooted two with impactor, but the other two phones was updated and now unable to root. I have also tried motochop and super one click...

I know we will probably get stuck on 4.1 forever. since most wearables are only compatible with 4.3 and above it would be nice to know someone's working on it

Anyone else notice that inside their battery cover there's a sticker in the shape of an NFC antenna where one would usually be, but we don't have NFC and it's slightly raised in the middle...... There's something under that sticker! :eek:

The Awe does not have APN settings, in the settings; you have to enter this info into the third party app to receive MMS. I've used it with TextSecure and it works just fine. Other messaging apps may not have the option to add info in the settings. MMSC: http://mmsc.vmobl.com:8088/mms...

I took the OTA update this morning. I am rooted on the stock ROM. So far I think I am still rooted as I am able to see SDCard0 and SDCard1 in file manager, but the OTA killed the ability to use the WiFi Tether app. Is there another app, or are there settings I need to re adjust to be able to use...

I really hate having to use the power button is there a way to just swipe the screen to turn it on?

Every time i send a text a toast message pops up to "insert SIM to send SMS". While it has no problem sending the actual text. It's just really annoying. Un/reinstalling doesn't help nor clearing the data/cache for the app. Anyone know how to get rid of it? Thanks for your help. P.S. Running...

In the car, when I'm using navigation, the phone stops charging. I've found that if I turn the screen off, after a while, it starts charging again. Is it heat? This the correct behavior? Kind of sucks if the phone dies mid-journey. Fortunately, I noticed yesterday... -Army

Easiest way to get CWM Recovery. Root phone using Cydia Impactor. Download Rashr from Play Store, it's free Download CWM zip for Awe. Move recovery.img from the zip file so it's easy to find on the SD card. I use Xplore for moving files, it's also free in Play Store. Flash recovery.img...

Maybe this is a dumb question but how can I get CPU 1 to be off permanently and just underclock and keep CPU 0 on?

If I under clock the stock awe kernel and check apply on boot will my settings stick or do I need to use awestruck kernel for that? I guess my question is: Does the stock kernel always default to 1.18 max and 3.84 min or can I under clock it?
