Just got off the phone with VZW, bought the phone on Monday, they gave me the $100 today. No problems. She said I was targeted for the promotion, but I never received any notice until I saw this posting.

I called the Verizon 800 number on the flyer. I told them I received the mailer for the TB $150 price. He checked his records and told me that they showed no record of me being sent the flyer but because I lived in the test market, LA. He would honor the price. After looking at my account he realized that I had a $50 discount for a upgrading to a new phone, which I have had for some time. He stated that I qualify for the $50 discount and that the TB would cost me $100.

Sold.

Wow - frustrating. I have been with VZW for over 8 years and out of contract since September waiting for this phone. Unlisted "test markets" and selective geographical discounts bypassing loyal customers = badwill!! Bad Form VZW!

I have been a Verizon customer since around 1999 grandfathered through Airtouch which they bought out. Not sure if that had anything to do with.

i've been with them 10 yrs also (recalculated back all of my NE2s). It is a geographical promotion.
