Accessories 16gb class 10 or 32gb class 2?

I know this question has been asked on other forums, but I haven't seen a conclusive answer.

Will the Class 10 speed make a difference in, say, photo taking or video recording? What about Apps2SD (when we get it) ?

Is the utility of higher capacity greater than speed in this case?

They are roughly the same price and I'm looking at choosing a gift for myself.

If you need the doubled space go with 32gb of course, otherwise yes there is a tangible difference in R/W times with class 10 vs class 2. So for speeds sake 16gb will destroy anything class 2 or even class 4.
BTW, not sure where you are looking for prices but a 16 class 10 is less than $30 while a 32gb class 2 is still like $80+. But if you have a link to a super cheap 32gb please share.

Patriot announced on December 6 both 16 GB and 32 GB Class 10 microSDHC cards.

I haven't seen an ETA--I hate that; all announcements should have them from the mfgr--and not sure of the price.

I'm sure the 32 GB will be over $120

Yeah tough to argue against the 16gb class 10 now given the pricing. Then again using various sdcard tests out there my sdcard [the one we got with the SF] tests at class6 already so Im unlikely to spend the $30 just to upgrade my speed a little bit without doubling storage capacity. I used to keep my sdcard full of movies and stuff. But as I watched them I deleted them. Now I keep it half full just because I dont need to have stuff on there if Im not going to watch it in the next week

My issue is that Class is a rating of minimum speed; we don't know if the sdcard tests test the max speed (i.e. wait for the transfer rate to ramp up) and then misrepresent it as a "class x."

I think a 32GB class 10 card--the one from Patriot--is the way to go, but it's likely cost prohibitive.
