for example: when the teenager goes to apply at university / work or any other extremely important application process that requires a good background check... his name will be shown as a criminial or banned from the states and will show up on the computer etc or facebook or wateva... they will reject his applications for work or any university applications because he has a bad background check... And it is important to remember that it is the USA government that has decided to ban the teenager.... It is important to remember that Obummer shud have enough guts to say "let this one pass...we have checked his background and he is no threat technically" and Obummer shud stop the ban that the USA government is trying to pass personally....

Obama doesn't get to make those decisions. They aren't made at his level.

He doesn't sit around constantly being briefed on the threats against him. The FBI and the Secret Service deal with those.

I'll point out that your previous post about how his life is ruined made no indication that this was because his name was all over the net. In fact, if you read the post, it almost directly says that because he is banned from the US his life is ruined. Either way, you are preaching to the choir. People make stupid mistakes earlier in their life and they have to live with it. It can affect their careers later in life. It's very unfortunate, and I don't agree with it. However, a lot of things are avoidable with a little bit of common sense.

First I'll say that none of us in this thread have ANY IDEA what this persons background check looks like. Anyone who claims to know is just making assumptions. I will reiterate ONCE AGAIN that Obama has nothing to do with the legal framework involved in banning someone from the US. I'm all for holding a politician accountable for his or her actions, but this is simply not his fault. Not everything is Obama's fault, just most things. I would tend to disagree. It is quite alright if you don't like the man's policy, but I still find the name-calling quite immature; And I would definitely call it childish.

But tell me, why do any of Obama's bad policies (which are numerous, I might add) have anything to do with something that he simply did not do? Continually saying that Obama personally banned this person is not going to make it true. Implying that he even had a hand in it is not only unsubstantiated, but ignores the long-standing security precedents at the White House.

Anyways, when did I say that the guy could not afford a lawyer? I didn't, and it's completely irrelevant if he can or cannot.

If you honestly think that the only reason a document would not be released immediately is because of something sinister, I don't know why I'm even trying to argue with you using reason. The vast majority of public record documents take years to surface, no matter what they are about.

Our crazy government is mad and out of control!! I will lose all my money if i convert to crazy micky mouse currency rands! No way... cause rands are too dangerous here! I used to Proudly South African but alas i hate this place now...!

To get back on to the original topic i think it might be slightly out of line for Mr Obama or his government or whoever did the ban for a person for just an email... i mean come on here how can you ban some1 for something so small or just not that bad. It's not that bad in my opinion...it is just an email? hmm i dunno

But yes i agree he shudn't have sent the mail... it was a bit foolish but we all do silly things like me lol. haha!

I will most probably get bombarded for this above statement lol i hope not

Well, we don't know what the email said. For all we know, it did contain a threat... (I personally don't think it did - it may have contained some harsh words about his frustration, but I doubt a direct threat to the President). Unfortunately, the US federal government has viewed security as a higher priority than human rights in the recent years. (see: the one percent doctrine)

This is starting to border on Communism and the book by george orwell "animal farm" when the famous words in his book say this:

"All animals are equal.... but some animals are more equal than others"

This scares me deeply here i don't like this kind of attitude here at all. We have this issue daily on the news here in South Africa... very sad i hate it totally

This is why i get so angry with this kind of topic here.... i know what it is like to be prosecuted... and to have no freedom... makes me cross!

I hate to say it, because while I do believe all humans are created equal and believe the afterlife, everyone is equal, the one thing is a truth, some people are more important persay
world war one was a great example of what can happen when one person's death can lead to bad things if it's the right person


I believe the President of the US is a very important POSITION within the world. ie - if a forienger kills the president, it could very well start world war 3. That affects EVERYONE.

If a foreigner kills you or me (assuming neither of us are the President), it will not start world war 3. Or, at the very least, PROBABLY won't

if the head of a family business dies and the company closes, puts 100 people out of work. In turn, if one of the employees dies, he is replaced and the other 99 employees keep their jobs. Tell me, if you are an employee and see your boss and a coworker playing Russian Roulette, who do you hope wins, when your future employment hangs in the balance. Which one do you hope DOESN'T get shot the most during a robbery of said establishment?

Even going back to the President example. It's why he has Secret Service agents with him ready to take a bullet. If Stan Smith gets shot by an assassin's bullet, the country/world moves on. If the President gets shot by an assassin's bullet, policies change, politics change, i'd argue that freedoms are eroded a little bit more.
