1900mAh Batteries?

Looking at Amazon, I see that there is 1 battery for $18, 1 battery and the charger for $21, or 2 batteries and the charger for $30. Any thoughts about which option would be the best to buy? Is there a better deal elsewhere?
It's the same price elsewhere.

Just get the single with charger (if you want the charger, which is nice and handy). You already have one battery, unless you actually need a third.

2 batteries and charger for 30 lul
Not sure why the lul
It's a good deal, just not really needed.

I am not super pleased with the battery life... and I know there are super huge batteries that you can get, but they require a new, bulky battery cover, which means limited aftermarket covers/cases.

I was wondering if anyone had purchased any of the 1900mAh batteries and noticed even a slight difference. I mean... I'm not expecting wonders, but if it proves to be better than the stock battery, I think I will buy one.
I bought the 3500mah Anker batt which DOES work as advertised.

e.g. I am a LIGHT user and had about 4d or so between charges with the 1st charge of the 3500mah. After the second charge, and checking a few days later the batt monitor app that I was using was estimating c.6d to empty but after some heavy wifi/3g the yesterday it's looking to be c.4d again.

HOWEVER there is a SLIGHT problem with the 3500mah Anker(and similar, e.g. 4000mah innocell, etc.) in that the batts are THICKER than the OEM ones and so come with replacement backcovers with a "hump" to accomodate the new batt's extra thickness which is fine by itself(I like the back cover that I got with the Anker), however it renders the phone incompatible with accessories such as the dock, cases, car mount(OEM), etc.

So given that I think that I'm going to try the 1900mah Anker(+ universal charger combo) as I think that the 1900mah would likely be enough for me with my usage to get 2d or so. (OEM batt even with my light usage was looking to need to be recharged every day...)

I probably should also note that I'm less concerned about batt life as in addition to the OEM dock, I also ordered a car charger(OEM) and car mount kit (OEM which came with a car charger too d'oh!).

[EDIT]
I'm still on the stock ICS fw as I want to ensure that the phone is completely functional. Actually it seems to be given that I've had it for 2w now and no problems since that one episode of rebooting, but now I'm lazy and would rather spend the extra time tweaking my new desktop anyways since I haven't had time to corrrect a few niggles since I got it built.
[/EDIT]

While looking for something else for the phone on Amazon I came across a $15 extended battery + cover that looked to be destined a bit different than the others I've seen. It had a jump just for the battery and kept the slim profile of the original phone around the edges. I assume the idea is that it would still fit into docks, etc. that were designed to work for the normal sized phone. At such a cheap price I doubt it's a full extend battery but it might be a decent compromise between working in docks and getting longer life.

They have docks that dot extended batteries
True. IIRC leslieAnn pointed out an Innocell(?) dock that had a shim to accomodate extended batts, and likely some 3rd party "universal" car mounts would work as well but you'd still be entirely out of luck as far as cases go.

Doesn't help me though as I ordered the OEM dock and car mount kit before I decided to order the 3500mah batt. (The batt just came MUCH faster than the other stuff...)

At least one company sells an extended battery whos cover integrates a case and fits their docks.

Might be an older Seido model, but I'm not sure.

Also I came across this - not sure of quality but the company is an ebay top seller, so at least the company is reputable...

They are generic Chinese batteries. They will probably only hold as much as the stock battery... If you are lucky and they might last a year.

Maybe it's just me but even for stock battery levels for a year (two) and the wall charger I think $10 is fine. I'm in for one.

Wow...guess I'll use this only for backup then. I already purchased the 1900mAh Anker from Amazon as well...any testing on those? The Anker battery does last longer than the stock HTC battery.

Wow, some of those are REALLY bad (the XDA thread).
And like Doboy says, it could be so bad that it blows up as well.

The second post in the XDA thread discusses the Anker's construction as being well made and I can confirm it definitely outlasts stock by a bit. Is it a full 1900? Who knows, but if it pulls 200 over stock (which I suspect), and is well made, that works for me.

Those cheap batteries are fine in a pinch, but a good battery is much nicer (and safer).

Getting a extended battery is in every way better than carrying arround 2-3 extra batteries. I was on the fence about one because i didnt want to mess with the thickness or size of the phone but the Battery i got from Laza changed that thought completly i couldnt go back to the measly life of the stock battery anymore. Look into an extended if you dont mind a bit of size!
