You can still root and receive the OTA. Just flash the stock rom

I ported CR's version for the mytouch 1.2.

The new v1.0 can run on both the G1 and original mytouch though. Ext4/256 Swap is recommended

It runs fast as hell on the 1.2 ... I'm not sure about the original MT3G

32a requires a different kernel, but there's a dev who ports a 32a kernel every time Cyanogen updates CM. In fact he released his kernel before Cyanogen released the latest update last night.
