2.1 gallery issues

The new gallery takes a while to work through all of your photos. Just be patient. Once all the pictures have been cached (or whatever the heck it's doing), it works SO much more smoothly than that old gallery. I LOVE the new swipe gestures as opposed to tapping arrows.

I can 2nd ur issue with thumbnail not being what actual pic is. I deleted some pics, took new ones, then the thumbnail of deleted ones were there for my new pics. Once I actually selected them an viewed them, it seemed to correct itself. (scary scenario especially considering non-PG pics were deleted lol). Havent seen it happen again, I backed up all the pics an only have a few left on the cell now.
The blurry issue happens all the time for me, takes a few seconds for it to clear up. Not sure if anyone has narrowed this down to a cache issue or what.

the issue with gallery not loading up new pics is some kinda refresh problem. through some messing around, i found a way to fix this. just go into gallery, then camera folder, leave it there, then hit the home button to go back out to the home screens, then open up gallery again and it will refresh and load up all the new pics. i found this to be the easiest way.

as for pics being blurry, i have the same issue when zooming in. pics that are zoomed all the way out are also of less quality compared to what it was on 2.0.1. and i'm not talking about "waiting for the pic to refresh" kinda blurry. its already refreshed and it is still blurry. it probably wont bother most people but for someone like me who likes to take high quality pics and wants to see them in high quality, i noticed it right off the bat.

zooming in on a pic gives me pixelated results, compared to when zooming in on pics in the camera app. the camera displays the pics perfectly. you can test this out. i asked around on another thread and it could be a bug that google needs to work out.

My photo gallery sometimes wont show a new picture I just took or shows a pic I deleted but its really the new picture. Its annoying

I'm having the same problem. I took a picture yesterday and it took over 1 hour for it to appear in the gallery. I find it extremely frustrating that developers spend time on appealing-to-many-but-still-useless features like swiping to get to the previous/next photo, or acceleraometer integration, when my most recent photos don't even appear.

I used to be able to delete photos from the old Gallery app but now I can't figure out how to do it. Can someone help?

Also, I'm seeing photos that I've already deleted from the SD card a while ago. Has anyone else seen the same problem?

Thanks!

Anyone else finding that their gallery is empty sometimes? I have to close and re-open and then the items re-appear. Its very buggy if you ask me.

Okay, I figured out the delete photo issue. The delete function is not available for the photos that I've deleted from the SD card but still showing in the gallery. The question still remains: why is the gallery showing photos that I've deleted. No one else has this problem?

Ah...just realized what was going on. It turns out the new gallery syncs with Picasa. Doh...

You can turn off the sync though if you don't want it. Just go to the home page, press the menu button, options, then go to Accounts & Sync, and then click on your gmail account. Adjust the Picasa Web Albums setting from there. As for me, once it's synced, I love being able to see my picasa stuff on my phone.
