2.1 OTA Beginning 5/11/2010

If you are scared of the mob pm the log if the information its there I'll give you credit, if it isn't there this forum will never know you ever sent it t me. And people don't gang up like we did with trident.

I don't understand how people can be intimated by other people over the COMPUTER! Id just laugh in peoples faces if they got hostile or just simply ignore them. And nobody is forcing anybody to do anything its up to you if you choose to log it or not w.e if i get it I'm going to log .
 
Its sad that people make it so that people dont want to participate in this community. Its also sad that people are so effected by what a select few losers who like to flex their internet muscles have to say over a computer.
If you want to try and help out, most reasonable people will appreciate your effort even if you cant figure out how to do exactly what is being asked. And if you dont do it, someone eventually will figure it out after you. I wanted to help but I already failed at even installing SDK on my PC last night. But guess what! The world will go on!
So if you want to, then try. If not then dont worry about it. Enjoy your OTA. We will all join you eventually. But please o please dont make your decisions based on what you think others will think or say. Thats very depressing.

sorry if this question has been asked but i was wondering if i will even get the update since i have the leaked 2.1 v4 on my phone and i yes all droid user should get the update between may 11th - 16th i just called and they confirmed it but i was wondering if i can get it or is there a way to go back to version 1.5 and get this leaked crap off my phone i want the officail up date not some leaked one lol once agian sorry if this has been asked didnt have time to read through all 33 pages to see?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Im perfectly happy with my stock keyboard on 1.5
I really dont want to download some different keyboard app, but I sure do want that voice to text button on my keyboard.

I'm sure you were thinking it already but: don't sweat it. Don't do or say anything because you feel pressure to, or because everyone's riled up.

Actually that was what I've been trying to say at least a few times now... this probably isn't going to be a quick, satisfying process anyway. Again, OTA updates just don't seem to be exciting events for Verizon (IMHO), and they're going to let people have it when they feel like. No real need to get worked up in one way or another.

I personally didn't mean to "jump on" anyone for posting wrong information, I just have had enough with people teasing others on here with exactly that in the recent past. (That, and I happened to notice that the text accounting of what the phone had didn't match the picture taken, and the picture taken DID match v3. That's enough to make me ask questions).

Time will tell...
 
yea 2.1 v4 searched web for like 4 hours and found a forum with v1v2v3v4 in it so i went for the latest

but anywho so i will still get the update notification and it will still work out?

Verizon say it will. If not... sucks to be us.

BTW can you post a link to the forum with a 2.1v4 please?
 
what happens if i accidently deleted the pmb file or what ever its called that i used to update to 2.1 from my sdcard can i just put it back lol new to this by the way if you cant tell just got my droid last week

You can prob put it back on, but once you do the leaked update on your phone, you should not need that .zip file anymore
 
reason i was asking was becouse i started my phone in safe mode or what ever you call it when you hold down volume and power and it wouldnt do any thing because it couldnt find tht file so it went to a screen with a big red triangle on it thought i bricked my phone lol

well, if you deleted it before you actually did the update than yes...I believe that would cause problems. I would think you could just power down the device and restart it and boot it normally.
