Here is the response from @vzwsupport on twitter.... same thing we've been told. I'm inclined not to believe them

Anybody else get the official update? Still about 4/5 days left. I'm going to start a tweet war with @vzwsupport if I don't get it by Wednesday.
 
I got sick of waiting and pulled the trigger. upgraded from v2 to v3 today. it went very smoothly especially having backed everything up. thanks to caddy for posting the link.
 
Well I am still sitting on 2.1 v2 Leak. I have been doing a checkin multiple times a day for about a week now but still I have nothing new regarding OTA. If anyone does get it you MUST, you are required by law to inform the rest of us so we can actually know that it is going to work out...

I really wish I had 2.2 or just the damn flash part of 2.2. That's what i was really hoping for in 2.1... (my eris may not be enough in the months and weeks to come without flash)

Too bad the OTA download is not yet compatible with leaked devices.

It seems very doubtful that those with a leaked 2.1 on their Eris will receive the OTA.

I am certain we'll be seeing 2.2 availability for the Eris.

From Verizon or a geek source, the masses will have that choice and likely fairly soon.
 
According to Verizon, the 2.1 OTA for Eris is happening til Tuesday, right. 2 weeks starting on 5/11. If I don't get the OTA by Wednesday, I may consider downloading it on android central. I know my data get wiped but I have everything backed up. I should be good.. hopefully.
I would wait for 2.2 but no telling how long that will take after I experience with 2.1.

I've been expressing my liking for the 2.1 OTA.

But I have to take something off of that, only that there are a lot of things in this world that I could like that I really do not need.

1.5 was fine, 2.1 is fine but I could have done without it.
