Just messaged VZWSupport on Twitter about the whole "No Date" thing. I received the following response:

May have already been mentioned but on PCD the MR2 Update is missing.

I keep checking the PCD site too (I prefer to install the full new ROM, not just the OTA update files). However, I just checked again and the MR2 is still there (although the PCD site was down earlier)

There hasn't been a single Twitter user to receive the update. I'd expect to hear of it there first. I have a TweetDeck search set up.

You'd think they would post it, at the very least to free up some bandwidth.

You have to click "downloads" up top, then select "Verizon Wireless" as the carrier under the Eris picture. MR2 will come up.

In January, the MR2 update went live on the PCD site before the OTA began (I think it was nearly 10 days before).

I acknowledge VZW is fickle and may not follow the same protocol

Thinking out loud here:
Seeing how Verizon has finally updated Google with the latest software version for the Marketplace (i.e., copy protected apps back), it stands to reason that the latest leak's software version will be the same as the OTA update, which means those of us already on the latest leak wont receive the OTA, due to the version numbers being the same.

I guess there's always the PCD site or someone with an earlier version capturing the OTA download and uploading it, but we may be waiting indefinitely for the OTA hitting our leaked devices if indeed the version numbers didn't change.

MR2 was a car, cool car

no no, MR2 was an bug fix update that was pushed OTA to the eris a few months ago.
